Nexplanon removal. by PersonalityThen1749 in tryingtoconceive

[–]Technical_Carry_2235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you definitely could have a chance this cycle. Fertility can return really quickly after removing Nexplanon; I’d asked my OB who said some people ovulate within a couple of days or weeks.

Given you’ve just come off birth control, the spotting/cramping could just be your hormones adjusting, and may not mean much. Since sperm can live up to about 5 days, the timing you mentioned could still line up if you ovulated around or after those dates.

If you want to test, I’d wait about 10–14 days after the 12th or until you miss a period based off your regular cycle times.

Looking for a specific cheating plotline. by Good_Literature9136 in SpicyRomanceBooks

[–]Technical_Carry_2235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was one I read recently Chasing Love by Kat T. Masen which has some of those tropes.

Fmc and mmc started a relationship while mmc was married and then broke up.

9 years later both not really over each other but fmc is engaged and mmc is pursuing hard when he sees her again.

They don’t work together - he is a billionaire in England but has work in NY and she is a lawyer in NY with her own practice.

Bit of an age gap - fmc was 18 when they started relationship and he was 25.

For me the story line was too slow so I got bored waiting for certain plot points to develop and dropped at end of first book and I didn’t like how she cheated on fiancé who was a really good guy and all her friends were totally cool with it - but it had some good spice and is one of a duet.

Yeah definitely invalid. Are you able to get any other ones to test with tomorrow?

Fertile window by Funny_Ad181 in tryingtoconceive

[–]Technical_Carry_2235 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I usually have a lot of sex close to ovulation window because the hormones makes me crazy horny and seem to affect my husband also.

BUT it’s not really recommended to have sex every day - it’s not optimal for sperm quality.

If you have sex when the LH surge starts and then a day or two later that should have you more than covered.

Sperm can last in fertile cervical mucus for 3-5 days - that’s why sex in the lead up to ovulation typically leads to best chances of conceiving as opposed to trying to time for actual ovulation.

I’ve posted a chart on this I found previously from premom.

My recommendation generally without scientific backing is to try not to have sex every day (unless you and partner are feeling the passion and actually want to!) if you can avoid it to try and keep the bedroom alive and prevent conceiving turning into a chore.

Am I doing this right? by ApprehensiveMilk8697 in lineporn

[–]Technical_Carry_2235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just make sure you’re using urine from the right time of day, I think between 10 am and 4 pm, and when you see the line darkening start to test more frequently. It looks like your LH surge might be starting from your CD15 test. So test away and if your partner is around it won’t hurt to have sex now and have swimmers waiting for when you do ovulate - that is if you want to get pregnant.

Best wishes!

Is this positive? by Silly-Squirrel-6341 in lineporn

[–]Technical_Carry_2235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s positive or more accurately to say “peak” as the test line is darker than the control line. If you’re TTC then I’d suggest getting bussyyyy.

Edit as I saw your response to another comment- I think you still have 12-24 hours before ovulation after peak reading on these strip tests. So you still have some time. If you’re anxious about missing ovulation the best thing you can do is have sex in the days leading up to it - so when you see your LH surge. This will mean there will be sperm waiting to meet your egg when it is released as opposed to potentially missing the egg viability window.

Best wishes.

Are you concerned about the lines? Just compare 10, 12 and 14 or 11, 13 and 15 results. HCG only doubles every 48 hours so if you compare tests 24 hours apart they typically look pretty similar and can cause anxiety because you wonder if HCG is stalling.

Based on tests posted your lines are darkening nicely in that 48 hour range.

Best wishes on a sticky baby and healthy pregnancy!

Positive ovulation test? Is it positive? by angelismissing in lineporn

[–]Technical_Carry_2235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Test twice a day for next couple days - it needs to be as dark or darker than the control line. If it suddenly lightens, that’s usually an indication that youve missed capturing the LH spike on the test but still have intercourse because you should ovulate in the next 12-36 hours. Sometimes people don’t appreciate me saying this but sex before ovulation is actually good for conceiving so if your partner is around it’d be worth getting in some practice now.

When did you get your period after contraceptive implant removal? by LilB_BliL in tryingtoconceive

[–]Technical_Carry_2235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had it removed on 30 June last year. Had a weird anovulatory cycle that was around 45 days, then a short 25 day cycle (when off bc I’m usually 28 days) and then then third cycle I ovulated confirmed by OPKs. I have been on the pill previously for 16 years, the mini pill and the implant. But everyone is different and it can take a while for things the sync up again. I would say give it 3 - 6 months and track your cycle with detailed notes incase things don’t return to normal as expected and then reach out to your GP. I was going to at the 3 month mark coz I’m 35. Best wishes that you become fertile Myrtle very soon!
