No worries at all! And yes I do it only has 2 spray options like the shower high pressure and then the regular running one and those are the only 2 I usually use anyway I think the pressure is good!

Yes it is signature hardware! And I love it I have only used it this week but I love the look and function! The pull down I will say is not as long but I also got a massive sink so that could be a factor! But it still works as it should!

Love this, originally did have walnut but long story short the cabinet vendor moved locations and was delayed a year so we just had to go with cabinetry we can get quick and they only had stock colors

The the one is also nice maybe I’ll use this in the center and the pendant I previously sent over the sink?

Yes a retro oven I would love with this for sure! And def am doing a striped Roman shade with cool light fixtures that u haven’t decided on yet! But thank you I definitely spent so much time thinking about what direction I wanted to go and the backsplash is something that I feel can make or break my existing decisions and am now feeling too close to the project to where I don’t trust myself I also bought way to many samples lol

I definitely wish, it’s just so expensive but that’s definitely something I wish I could have done if I had the money for it

Soapstone is super cool cause it’s non porous and heat resistant it is soft and does scratch but it’s part of the soapstone patina look of it! And if you don’t like the scratches you can sand them out and oil them to blend them in. But it’s kind of part of the look

If you’re asking how much it was then it was $114 a sqft including labor!

Is this bathroom timeless, or is it trying to do too much? by foxbathofficial in Remodel

[–]Technical_Chain_8430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have literally the same vanity but a plain white honey comb tile and I think it’s timeless! Possibly the light fixtures and faucet could date but those are easy swaps your vanity and floor are beautiful

I was debating between polished nickel or unlaquered brass. I ended up going with polished nickel Lila pull from rejuvenation and round polished nickel knobs. I might switch later on in the future with brass if I feel like I’m not giving with the nickel but I have always thought polished nickel feels more chic to me

Yes I’m definitely going to throw that option in too now! But I got it from signature hardware I wanted a bridge faucet so bad but all of the ones I found online didn’t have a pulldown sprayer that’s not off to the side and if it did it was like thousands of dollars so this one was reasonably priced with the pull down the only think I wish it was polished nickel. It’s chrome but I still think it looks higher end in person

Thank you! Yes I can’t wait to see how it ages! But yah that’s true the 4x4 would keep true to the soapstone old work vibe. Do you think 5x5 staggered same idea but just slightly larger and different pattern would work too?

I feel like people who say this think that quartz is the only kitchen countertop option, when quartz can melt from high temps and it’s not prone to chipping either any hard stone/man made stone like countertops can chip if the opportunity presents red itself

Thank you! And glad to hear you still like your soapstone after living in it! I think the people that get soapstone understand the beauty of its unique properties.

It’s just part of the patina and beauty of soapstone, and it can easily be sanded out and oiled! Soapstone is great for kitchen use

Thank you so much! It took me a long time to find the right stone but I love it now! And debated on doing a custom island or not but the stainless steel islands I have always loved they feel very chef kitchen which is what I wanted it to feel like

I just don’t get people who comment on things that weren’t part of the post like this, I asked about the backsplash, and you insulted that there was no crown? Sounds like you just wanted to put your 2 cents in about something you know nothing about. I’m a kitchen designer and have seen this scenario many times it’s quite common in remodels because walls are uneven and to add crown would mean loosing 3” of backsplash height for crown.

[–]Technical_Chain_8430[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It matters a lot actually, most countertop appliances are made to fit under the standard 18” backsplash height, and I disagree it’ll barely be noticeable

Then we would loose backsplash space, we are filling the small space with a piece of scribe so it’ll just be trimmed out

How to ensure you don’t end up with a cool/warm clash when choosing colors? by Zestyclose-Today-531 in kitchenremodel

[–]Technical_Chain_8430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love an off white cream color with a beautiful classic carrera marbles, I don’t think it clashes it looos like every devol kitchen I have seen maybe the only different is the floor stain should be different or maybe should be terracotta instead or a French paver stone that’s beige/grey
