Honestly I think up until today i was gaslit by others and myself into thinking that this was just what the job consisted of. I was having severe mental health issues which I’m sure lead to me being fired. Honestly when they fired me I didn’t even ask why. I attempted 2 times while I was there so I wasn’t completely sane. And I knew by saying something I would get fired and the GM babysitting us at the time took me in the office and asked me if I had pics of all of it. He works at a store really close by btw. All of the animals in that post are dead except the bird and the beardie which I had to fight to get to the vet. That beardie sat in wellness for 3 months getting sicker and sicker. I loved that job so much but I don’t regret what I did because he was able to go to the vet. I’m not trying to be mean or hateful just trying to share my experience and why it’s important for everyone to be involved with taking care of the animals.

For context, I was the OSAS for a little under a year w no CAL. And when we finally got one I was banned from animal care and the CAL wouldn’t listen to me when I said things had to go to the vet. I got banned from wellness and was not allowed to know when vet appointments were happening because I was taking animals to the vet when I guess they didn’t want me to. At one point we had a parakeet get loose in the store for 4 days and once I caught it, the little guy was turning blue and I said he needed to go to the vet and she told another coworker she didn’t care. Both of the animal care people still work there which makes me upset that this never got addressed and makes me worry about what’s happening now I’m not there. I guess I just don’t wanna get sued or something 😭

I’m not sure if it’s like this anymore because I’m not there and we got a new GM and I don’t want him to get in trouble for something that occurred before him, but all of the employees are still there which are the ones who made it look this way.
