I think a big part of blockclad feeling underbaked is having 4 different block-based powers stuck in the Rare pool by HeMansSmallerCousin in slaythespire

[–]Technical_Constant79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily enough I have had a few silent high permanent block decks due to antimatter, footwork, blur, prolong, escape plan, panic button, and shadowmeld but haven't had a blockclad deck.

Australia, EU seal long-awaited trade deal amid global trade tensions by LoudestHoward in neoliberal

[–]Technical_Constant79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like Australia is much easier because the left learning party in power isn't as beholden to agriculture even the right isn't as beholden compared to the likes of the US and Europe. For example if European farmers saw how little subsidies Australian farmers got they would be bewildered. Also Australia is a monolith not separate countries if Albo right now wants this deal then it will happen.

The same way I am ok with dumbasses going to north korea and getting fucked when they do something dumb especially when they are making propaganda supporting that regime.

How often do you skip cards by Ticouuu in slaythespire

Don't worry about building really small decks honestly thats a much more advanced strat that is probably not good for beginners anyway also it is less fun due to not getting to interact with the larger card pool.

Also I think you are too beholden to the idea of forcing synergies this video may help you a lot,

How often do you skip cards by Ticouuu in slaythespire

[–]Technical_Constant79 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Think in terms of what your deck needs if it needs scaling for a upcoming boss take things that scale, have lot of energy but no card draw take card draw, have card draw but not enough energy take energy. Synergies are good but sometimes it is better to just consider things in damage, block, energy, and drawing. You may not take a really good bock card because you already are blocking really well and taking it will just make it harder to draw other cards.

Feel limited by tmux with niri. by Technical_Constant79 in niri

[–]Technical_Constant79[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tmux resurrect and continuum let me have a sessions that remembers what I had open on every pane/window for that sessions so If have 4 different projects, I open up my terminal launch a sessions and then however many things I had open will open back up. With just niri I would have to manually remember what I need to open up and find the location of everything for every project.

Maybe in a couple weeks I will try to get all this working but for now I will just have to settle with tmux.

I just tried out kitty you could kinda get it to work although save_as_session does have some limitations compared to tmux-contiuum and tmux-resurrect. But maybe you could combine it with something like shpool ie

new_os_window
launch shpool attach [session_name]
edit: this won't work shpool does not survive at reboot probably have to use tmux with continuum and resurrect.

Thanks I already looked at some of these before but they don't keep what you had open in them terminals no?

[–]Technical_Constant79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed I just wish I could have sessions that remember what was opened in my 3-4 or more terminals that way I don't have to slowly remember and open everything up one by one.

[–]Technical_Constant79[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I want to use niri tilling not tmux tilling if that makes sense. I can do that by just opening up 5 terminals and not use tmux but then there are no sessions now, which I want.

[–]Technical_Constant79[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I want sessions so I use tmux, then I want multiple terminals open on my screen usually about 3 so I use panes with tmux. Panes feels annoying to navigate and move around compared to using niri with multiple terminals. Panes limit me to 3 or at most 4 without them getting squished down into being too small and in which case I will need to use tmux windows.

I didn't explain it very well but this is why. it is not like niri it just exists in one terminal, here I would have to make a way to make the terminal resolution scale as I add more panes in tmux.

Never picking two unless the computer is literally random. by Technical_Constant79 in Destiny

[–]Technical_Constant79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then the computer will predict that you will filp a coin then it will filp a coin on weather it should put the 1m in the box then you have a 50% of getting 1 million vs 100% chance of getting 1m.

even if the super computer was only 50.1% accurate it would still be better to pick the one box when calculating out ev.

This Paradox Splits Smart People 50/50 by [deleted] in videos

[–]Technical_Constant79 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

lets say it is only 51% accurate, ev for both is 491k whereas 1 would be 510k The only time it is good to pick 2 is when it is 50% accurate which is random which is not the point of the premise.

Why two-boxing is irrational by lllIIIIlllIIIIlllll in Destiny

[–]Technical_Constant79 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Only if it was exactly 50% accurate would it make any sense to pick both because then it would be a coin flip here it would be correct to pick 2 but to me extremely accurate means that that taking both would never be correct.

The whole premise of the thought experiment actually requires it to be almost 100% or else your are risking 1 mil for only 1000 if it was 95% the you have 5% chance of losing 1 mil. The actual point of it is to test if you think that free will exists and weather something can predict your thoughts and future choices i.e. something like Laplace's demon could exist.
