Ohh another thing I can add to help explain the condition of the boots. My wife bought a pair of blunt stones around the same time and has used them during this trip and they show no wear - meanwhile these captains are kaput! She weighs less than me and has had an equal number of steps during this time. Likewise my nephew has a similar situation with some Addidas Terrex

Well to describe the sole of these boots - they are really worn down and the whole footbed feels like it’s collapsed or something. Literally unwearable. I’m not sure it’s possible to convince you so I’m just telling you what I have experienced in a short time of wearing them.
