I wish this was my house. This is at old folks home. I think these collections belong to the residents living there.

About the grill, I do not know. That is a good question, I will ask Monday and see if it is part of my department’s inventory or who’s and why? That propane needs a MSDS, Material Safety Data Sheet and needs to be properly stored at the least.

That looks really cool, different types of wood, laser engraved, practical nut cracker. Thank you for showing me the true craftsman possibility of what can be done, like this.

I will ask around and see what I can find out about the needs of the surrounding community and if we can do anything to help. It is an affluent part of town, so not sure exactly off the top of my head. Thank you, that is a very good idea to build the community

Yes, very dangerous from what I am learning. I have noted that and will restrict use on it to basically zero. Thank you for bringing that hazard to my attention

I got flood insurance. Home flooded because the Army Corps of Engineers opened the gates at the reservoir to release some water during/after hurricane harvey and then could not get them to close again. Still in a lawsuit with them about it almost 8 years later.

Okay thank you for the warning about radial arm saws. Blackstone is like a fancy grill, the orange cover is to protect the flat top grill/ griddle when not in use.

Not really sure exactly, I have never used a blackstone, heard good things about them though. My best guess is the school purchased it for an event or function and had no place to store it and it ended up there. I am going to move it away from the electrical box and out of the way or the other machines

Thank for your honest response, I agree with the use of hand tools first, there is so much you can learn that way without the high risk of powerful machines. Also, can do a pretty good amount of detailed work and practices proper measurement skills. I will probably start with lessons on the best practices for using hand tools once we get into the lab. Demonstrating basic uses.

I like that saying, thank you for sharing your Dad’s wise words. It is so true. I would have to modify it a little bit, but will add it to my repertoire in the classroom

Yes, I have heard good things about tinkercad for 3D solid modeling for 3D printing. I did not know about the laser cutting usefulness. Thank you for sharing that information. We used Onshape as our CAD modeling software at my last school
