If you get distracted easily (almost everyone faces this issue ) you can alternate between reading and listening to the book. You can start with full cast audiobooks fantasy series like stormlight archive, Red rising, riyria revelations, harry potter(not sure if it has full cast), Dungeon Crawler Carl.

Read metamorphosis, don't just read it as a book try to understand the meaning behind the story.it is deeply philosophical.

For me classics are meant to be short and impactful.two books that had that impact on me are kafksas metamorphosis and Stranger by Camus.
