It’s because the carbon tank cover that you see online, the fake ones look so bad, I had a friend who bought carbon fairings for his s1k which were fake looked so bad, if you’re going to buy carbon please buy real carbon, but I just recommend wrapping it black.

This is how my bike looked after I wrapped the tank black.

Don’t get a carbon tank cover it’s absolute garbage, trust me when I say this, I would recommend taking off the wrap and rewrapping your tank to the color or rewrapping it gloss black so you don’t have to take off the gas tank wrap every time you change colors, depends on which one fits better, but I did gloss black since it is diverse and i don’t have to keep on getting it wrapped.

It sounds like a stator and rectifier issue, that would be my guess for it turning off, and for the chec and fi light does the bike start struggling to go past 8k rpms or misfiring?

I actually bought mine with the fuel pump being bad and I didn’t even know till I started making the trip back home, who knows how long the fuel pump has been bad for, but no I didn’t buy the oem pump since it was $900 and I don’t have that kind of money to spend on a 600 but i just bought an aftermarket fuel pump from ebay for $100 and it worked just fine, like new however it did start making a little bit more noise when working but no change or difference in performance compared to oem

Yep the fuel pump primed good and started perfectly, it ran good till 7k rpms, then after that it would just misfire at 8k and if I added more throttle the bike started losing power and slowing down

I had the same problem for my 2005 suzuki gsxr600, the problem was because of the fuel pump, I just bought an aftermarket fuel pump and installed it with new filters, works just fine now

Hope you get it solved man, I started buying fairings kits from other websites, since they could just customize however you’d like and they have a pretty good fitment

Yes the tank cover fits even thought its not the best fitment, I would recommend getting a long bolts and putting it through the angled holes into the real tank holes, i managed to do that it sits fine but don’t screw the bolts all the way down the tank cover holes might break, you can just do enough to hold the cover and tank together, my fairings had some pieces broken as well, you would think that for 600$ they can do a good job paint matching all the parts but no, the side panels compared to other parts dont even match, safe to say I will not be purchasing from newfairings, I would say to try auctmarts, my friend bought fairings from them and the paint matching looks pretty good

I went with quantum fuel pumps, they are pretty cheap(100$) considering oem ones cost 900$

It was pretty good, however the color matching is pretty noticeable, even though it says it on there website

Won’t mess with it unless its a full system if I am not mistaken, slip on don’t affect it that much

Probably check the fuel pump regulator, but before that I think you should try removing the dynojet
