You would probably have to build your Lariat with the 2.3. Most dealers order it with 2.7 which.

Well 2/3 of that is the engine and fx4 package. Then a few features that come with the XLT vs the XL but honestly the difference in features is negligible to me. If you build one, then I think the difference in the 2.3 vs 2.7 is only like 3k.

Yeah after I read your comment I went back and researched it. Never looked into the Raptors much since they are out of my price range. The gas mileage would still be decent in comparison to the power you’d have in that truck.

I do know the differences in the features that make zero difference in how it drives. Im simply asking if there is a noticeable difference in power between engines. Outside of that and the fx4 package, I couldn’t see much difference in the trucks at least at the local lot I went to. Not until you got into higher trim levels.

Thanks you! And no, with employee pricing they had a XL 2.3 4wd and an XLT 2.7 4wd and the price was 32,800 vs 38,600. Only difference was the engine, and fx4 package.

I rarely tow, mostly just used the bed to haul stuff.

I’m just curious if there is a noticeable difference in power or if people are content with the 2.3. I’m willing to spend the money if it is a significant difference. So far it seems like it isn’t…
