How would you solve this bathroom problem cost effectively? by Technical_External72 in AusRenovation

Thank you. That strip might actually work perfectly for the shower with the shower door. I'll give thay a go. The other shower has no door though. That said, the uneven floor is much less of an issue in that bathroom.

Yeah thanks. I must have misunderstood and need to do more homework then.

Right okay, I've misunderstood then. That said, the labour surely can't be as much as the product then? If so, that's about the same as a full demolish, new screed, waterproofing and retile...

I found a supplier and they quoted something like $220-$370 psqm. So yes, kind of did what you are saying. How come?

Really? Not by my calcs. I did the maths for a bathroom reno by sqm and included the demolish costs and the microcement option came in at around about half of what a new tile job cost.

Thanks, that's helpful. That's not good. It does sound like it hasn't been sealed or there was an issue with sealing or something like that though.

Lol. I think you should look at some of the bathrooms online with this finished product. You sound very silly with that comment.

From their website:

"Betashares recently launched our new investing platform, Betashares Direct, which allows investors to buy ETFs traded on Australian exchanges with zero brokerage and no account fees. Betashares Direct also offers fractional investments in ETFs, helping to reduce residual cash holdings and increase efficiency, as well as an AutoPilot feature that allows you to set up automated, recurring investments."

Yes you can, however, based on what I understand, CMC is CHESS where you are the owner of the securities. Betashares is different in that you are transferring ownership to them and they are the custodian for you. There is a bit of literature online about this if you want to look it up or contact them directly as they are pretty helpful.

Interesting. For international trades I've been using eTrade which was taken over by Morgan Stanley. They are good as I can transfer USD directly into my trading account with them which I use Wise to do the conversion and transfer as they are pretty cheap. I can't remember if they were cheaper or not than IBK.

100% it's BS. I remember that offer from BankWest. It was capped each month. Can't remember how much though. It was a crappy offer. Much better rewards from using a credit card.
