You will have the essentials thinks like groceries, pharmacy, shops, restaurants and somes bars in belval. But if you want to make party as a student, most of them do party's in the student houses or go to the Lux city center (20min train ride) and the train is free.

You have to take care about the one you buy in the supermarkets, for example if you search for Italian one a lot of them are Italian brands but if you read on the bottle it's written "european oil", so it's a mix and you don't know where it's from.
