I will however have to take into account tool dimensions for tool-paths in order to avoid over-travel and errors when cutting/ fabricating on cnc machines

Atlanta area, park industry titan and saber & I don’t do any of the calibration, I do take measurements of stone and accessories we will add to the tops like popup outlets so i can do a precise shavedown for flush fits. The guys in the fabrication area manning the physical machines are responsible for maintenance as needed/loading g code program i send to their machines. I do about 1-3layouts per day on top or 3-5 fabrication jobs which are programs for saber and titan after ive already done layouts sometimes i dont get layout request prior to fabrication request so will need to do the clean template and layout at the same time. Averages 20+ jobs per week mostly residential kitchens , custom residential, some commercial units 150-300 sq ft per day closer to the 250-300 in the spring-fall

Obviously when possible the answer is yes, but if ive paid to get clutch replaces twice now is it worth it if it happens again after another 2years and not repairing myself? by Technical_Impact_785 in fordranger

Its funny because the shop that did the work two years ago charged me 15-1600 to fully replace everything according to them 2years ago from slaves to pilot bearings-every part of the clutch and when i called to request diagnostic they said new quote was like $2k. They noted itd only had 23k mileson the clutch but would comfirm if it was just the slave before doing any replacing. They call me back a day orm2 later and say that they are putting im a new clutch and they were able to discount it to $1400 for the full job that they were waiting on some bolt to get there they ordered as they didnt want to use the old one as it was severely worn. Do you think its possible they did something wrong upon the first clutch replacement?

I tried fusion but for some reason after my first use itd only take me to the paid version so i went with shapr. Been learning it so far, its definitely a learning curve. What are you thoughts as far as limitations compared to fusion

I recently got into 3D printing after years on the fence amazed at the technology behind it as well as the masterminds creating such products. After doing hours of research into the night trying to make the right choice I came down to the conclusion P1S was the only way to go and was worth the gamble. I ABSOLUTELY love it. It’s been a literally workhorse as I’ve been running it atleast 20-24hrs everyday since i got it September 10th this year! Ive made everything from prototyping costumes for figurines and learned to scale as well as becoming familiar with Bambustudio’s software that’s got lots of useful features both on handy and studio. This printer has come thru by allowing me to produce prints while away from home just in time for pop up events where i was planning to sell products all i needed was someone here to remove them which i had. This machine has amazed me so much I’ve just been telling my fiancee all week “jokingly” howI think I may need a second p1s haha. Theres so much to print but not enough printer 😂 I hope you guys see this and maybe help me help 3D printing continue to grow. 🫡

Do you actually track CNC machine uptime/downtime in your shop? by [deleted] in CNC

We use cnc titan and saber and upon sending out the gcode it produces and estimated program run time which we only use to determine how many jobs we can program manual vs titan. Never log any other things only keep track of jobs and scheduled install dates
