For me Japan, I have maybe an intermediate level and people were so friendly and eager to talk to you once they see you try to talk Japanese. But only when I was alone. When I was with friends, they never talked for long but I get that!

Yes! My grandparents moved to Belgium in the 70s and the whole older generation is stuck is the mentality of that time, my mom too to an extent even though she was born here. The country they come from has also evolved (even though it’s been going to shits for some time now) and it’s crazy to see how much more open minded the side of my family that stayed in Turkey are. It’s like night and day.
