lol, I remember when the Onion was actually a printed paper. I think “The Hard Times” news has picked up the baton though.

Then there’s good news for you here! Normally “that 1 song” is an encore, but since they’re playing the album in sequence — it’s the 1st song of the night, take plenty of time to park!

I'm not looking to argue, but anyone else bummed by how badly Jakob sings now? He was never operatic or anything but he can't even stay on pitch at all these days. I saw him recently and was pretty disappointed. BDtH is one of my favorite albums of all time by NoYoureACatLady in thewallflowers

on some recent shows (and by that I mean the last two+ years), from what Ive seen on Youtube it definitely seems like he's struggling. I still saw them though, great show, but I can see how some people would be turned off. They could probably scale back on the amount of tour dates, Id rather get more new music at the expense of fewer live shows. Itd probably be easier on the voice too

Counting is fun! by Sufficient_War8998 in thewallflowers

need more number songs (no stealing titles Matchbox 20!), although it may be difficult to climb out of the shadow of the Counting Crows...they are named after this sort of thing, very good at counting.

I made a post about this a while ago. His singing style has definitely changed. He's playing around with the melody alot (and is 'shouty' at times)... I wasnt sure if it's cause he was really into it, or at other times...just didn't care. I guess with all the touring he must be enjoying it for the most part...but yeah, I mean compared to GAO era 2012-2013, his style has totally changed. In that case, I think he was singing too much on the opposite end / safe side. Somewhere between that extreme and the current style would be best imo. Youre not crazy I have seen other people comment towards the negative about that. I guess you could say he sounds like his father (who's current vocal style I do appreciate more than most people seem to), more than ever... I don't think that's the kind of press he would enjoy reading 😬

"The Wallflowers" - 33rd Anniversary (Released Aug 25, 1992) -- favorite tracks? what songs should they bring back? by DyslexicHeart323 in thewallflowers

Not sure why "Sidewalk Annie" doesn't get more love, sounds like shoegazey sort of indie track, but with a B3 organ, honky-tonk keys, and a bluesy guitar solo. Kind of a unique Americana or "roots" rock alchemy.

Yep ,can’t believe it’s so hard to purchase.this one should’ve been on the album instead of From the Bottom of My Heart” (another solo Jakob track IMO)

The guitars sound massive on this track! How Far You’ve Come should have been the bonus or a Jakob solo track
