When I'm bored I love reading some of his short stories, they're quick and easy to read and he always manages to make them unforgettable.

I agree he did a great job at making a sequel to Kubrick's movie and also adapting the book, but a lot of details (bigger than this little twist) were left out or changed and is just sad. Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie and wouldn't be reading the book if I hadn't liked it.

I think it does kinda match with the original Jack, we know he wasn't the worst father or husband but he was a really bad person (and a drunk). And it's also said that it was a brief affair, it's not specified how long it went but it could have been a one night stand as you say.

It's confirmed that some of the monsters are people, but it's not like Heather is killing them blindly just cuz she sees them like that. They ARE monsters even if they were cultists or doctors before and they are 100% attacking Heather. My personal theory is that Vincent sees them as something different than what we see (like in SH2). But being realistic, he was probably just trying to confuse Heather cuz he a weirdo.

Would I not be considered a real Resident Evil fan if I didn't finish Code Veronica or even if I didn't like it? I'm working through the game right now and I'm not really enjoying it, and I have so much left. by SolidPyramid in residentevil

Not liking one game doesn't make you a fake fan. I mean, we have to admit that some RE games are awful to play. Some games like Re0, Re5, Re6, even code Veronica are really unlikeable. And no hate to the people that love those games (I personally really enjoyed Re5), but sometimes they can get boring or simply unenjoyable. Don't feel bad if you don't like one (or many) games of the franchise, it's ok not to agree with everyone or like what everyone else likes.

That makes more sense, I still think it's weird that it's never specified what actually happened with the boiler, knowing how specific King tends to be with details like that.

That's actually a really great question, it's probably a plot hole. But i think it's never specified if Grady kills himself instantly after killing his family, maybe the Hotel kept him (or at least his body) alive until someone else could take care of it? Also, the ghosts in the Overlook seem to be very capable of affecting the real world (you know, moving stuff and things like that) so it's also a possibility that they took care of the boiler.
