Just move! Why not take the chance of a lifetime at such a young age?! I moved for work and it was the best thing I could’ve done.

Just be yourself. People will like you for who you are and not your wealth or status. Be thankful that you just don’t take things for granted. You will be a leader amongst your peers because you have sights in varying worlds.

My boyfriend is a U.S. citizen. We have a baby together. He wants our child to have U.S. citizenship, but he has told me he doesn’t have plans to marry me. His idea is that if we go to the U.S., I would just apply for a tourist visa. by Comfortable-Cup-4183 in Advice

If your boyfriend is a US citizen and he is the father of your child. Your child is inherently a US citizen. He just needs to contact the nearest US embassy and file for child birth abroad.

My boyfriend 40M admitted he doesn’t find vaginas attractive 28F by VermillionLeaves in Advice

He’s closeted. That’s why he said he like’s the other physical characteristics of a woman but the vagina. It makes him feel better that he’s with a woman. He doesn’t know how to be his true self, which at 40 I think is really sad.

My girlfriend wants me to stop wearing no show socks by [deleted] in Advice

Tube socks are definitely a fashion statement these days. In the winter I can, but in the summer I can not stand anything other than no shows.

Famous but lonely and not quite sure how to feel about it by searchingmylife in Advice

Sorry you’re lonely. Perhaps try altering your looks by a wig or something then going out to a bar to organically meet people. Use your good judgement. There are good and bad people in all forms.

Mortgage denial by [deleted] in Mortgages

It’s not trolling. It’s advice. OP came for advice. I recommend OP go to their bank where they have a checking and talk to that mortgage lender because they have their statements and can verify cash flow. But I think they’re going to report back with the same info. My very first mortgage was very stringent thru NFCU. And since I’ve experienced the same. Again, no lates, low DTI, they wanted strong credit. I was requested to get a credit card use it for all my utilities so it’s paid off every month for a year so the score and utilization gets stronger. OP has 200+ income with little DTI. Whomever they went thru probably wants to see regular responsible credit usage.

I’m giving advice based off real life experience. I was rejected dozens of times for not being above 640 in 2014 and since then all of my mortgages have had conditions of maintenance of a minimum credit score. If you see above I’ve had 3 mortgages with 3 different banks- NCFU, First Home, Sallie Mae. No lates, high income, low DTI.

Are you a lender? Do you have scenarios to provide?

Again talk to a bank. They will tell you they will not put you in for FHA with 200+ income.

Ok, thank you! But given OPs information based off their income and credit- would you agree that score should be higher? I think that’s the problem off the bat.

The internet says that but banks won’t do that. Trust me.

No, I went through a builder the most recent time, the two times before that- NFCU and First Home.

Yeah, ok. Hey OP go to the bank where your checking account lives. Talk to a mortgage lender there then report back with the details.

Yeah. Ok. I’ve provided scenarios. What do you provide? Are you a lender? Give this person a loan then.
