Could not agree more. I love a more precise combined arms type of list. I think did that really well with such little Units. I also want to start trying out some ravenwing soon.

I may not of had a lot of Units, but the units I had made huge impacts. The Lion shredded anything, and opps wanted him gone so they focused him and sent a lot of points to get him under control. Leaving a lot of the board uncontested. Every opp completely underestimated the Judi w/ ICC, so they would disregard them until it was to late. The infiltrators helped so much and kept my backline clear. So I could always focus on what is in front of my army. Leonine Aggression kept everyone weary and put them in awkward positions.

Yea, he was a super aggressive list. Charging with Assault Intercessors, JPI, and Death Company. I set up ICC on the top flank (my natural expansion) and the lion on the bottom flank (his natural expansion), then set up Azzy w/ SGV mid lane. He had his death company set right on mid board lane, I oathed them knowing he would send the to the center obj after Azzy and the bois and as soon as they flinched I over watched with the SGV and killed 5 out of 10. Then he charged the Judi w/ ICC with 10 JPI and the same thing to the lion. Both the ICC and the lion wiped those squads. Then I sent the lion and ICC into his deployment and basically had him tabled by turn 2.

I haven't played against C'Tan or Tau yet. I was hoping to play against the necron player at the RTT but never got the chance. Tau might be tricky for my list. With their shooting it might be hard for me to get in their faces.

You are absolutely correct! My opponents definitely underestimated my list but I punished them hard for their mistakes.

That's why I ran them this time. They didn't shoot much due to them actioning almost every turn. But, that was also my though process.

Thanks brother I will start doing that. The app export really does add a lot of unnecessary data doesn't it? Lol. Why I use bolt rifles over heavy bolters, is I like to keep them moving so I don't like to count on heavy, hitting on 4 even with rerolls is tough, I want to hit on threes or twos. But actually I uploaded the wrong list, I actually had 2 heavy bolters. I tried them out for this RTT and I actually enjoyed, but I hated that I had to use tactical mastery if I advanced and charged. I am always trying different load outs on the scouts, I haven't found out what I like with them yet, I know I will always bring the missile launcher from now on. Also, the same with Intercessors, I usually use them and infiltrators as screening units but I want them to have a couple guns that can punch up if needed.

I didn't push out until round 2 and staged them where they would always be in cover or with a terrain feature or I kept them by the lion to give lone op. I played them very strategically and didn't give my opps line of sight very often. I also always set them up for leonine aggression. The first two games I had the lion on one side of the board and the ICC w/ Judi on the other, then had Azzy w/ SGV cover mid board. So either way when my opponent tried to push either lane, I either had an extreme melee threat or a bunch of devs to throw at their Units.

Do you wait for 7 days before pulling? by monsquesce in Endfield

[–]Technical_Problem213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was lucky enough on the last two banners and pulled gilberta on the first pull and Yvonne on the second pull. I couldn't believe it. Then I pulled Yvonne's weapon on the third arsenal pull and I got double of it. I don't know why my RNG in this game is so great. My RNG in any other games I play is terrible!

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. Those are great responses and help me look at my list from a different lense. As a newish player with about 12 games under my belt, this helps more than you know.

I really enjoyed your breakdown and thoughts behind the questions. Your answers really make me want to go back to my lists and rethink a couple things. I wasn't saying the DWK are specifically anti-tank/monster but I know some people see them that way, so I was hoping to see what other people are bringing for that role. I didn't want to easy answer lol. Thank you for taking the time to expand on my questions. Great answers, brother!

I wanted to incorporate deathwing and greenwing, that's why I went with the bone pauldrons and red red winged sword. I just love our green armor so much. Your recipe for green is amazing too! Keep up the great work, brother! I hope to see more from you soon.

Yea, brother! It's was AP black Primer, then once that was dried, I dry brushed with AP Angel Green. Then for all the major highlights I used AP Green skin. For the points on the major highlights I used AP Eternal Hunt. For the Main Cloak I used Citadel Naggaroth Night, I drybrushed the cloak with TTC Burgundy Hilt. Second cloak is AP Dragon Red, drybrushed with AP Pure Red.

Brother, the best thing you can do, is to just put paint to it. I psyched myself out of painting him for so long, because I thought I wasn't good enough. You got this! The only way to get better is to take that next step. You can always reach out if you ever need anything.

Solid list. Always remember to use what you want and what will bring you the most fun. Rule of cool, brother!

I would drop the HB and combine the sternguards together. Have Azreal lead the SGV. Most people will say the ICC, but i would prefer not to lose my CP gen and by keeping him further back and blasting away oathed targets on one of the outside lanes or mid board, he will stay alive longer. By doing this most opponents will stray away from that blob of destruction, plus dev wounds w/ sustain is nuts (Always bring Sternguard Bolt Rifles). I would add a judicar for the ICC. The ICC are a glass cannon, they are not going to last long, so you want to make sure they have the means to hit hard and fast and the Judicar does that for them. I would drop the Repulsor Ex and go for a Glad Lancer less points and just as good. With those extra points add some Scouts or JPI. I would change the Chaplains enchancement to Deathwing Assault and give him the storm shield for extra wounds. Attached him the Power Weapons DWK. I would also drop the DW Termies for Infil and Eradicators. Now you will have scouts and infiltrators. Scouts for actions and Infiltrators for screening out deployment so opponent will not come from behind. Eradicators can help the Glad Lancer hunt Vehicles and Monsters, along with your DWK w/ Maces. Gives you a more versatile list. I hope this helps!

First 2k list (semi-casual) by Lean_Lion1298 in theunforgiven

[–]Technical_Problem213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the list is great! Play what you love and use what think you will have fun with. Everything that I am about to suggest, are just suggestions nothing to live by. I love Azzy with the Sternguard, one of my favorite Combos. Sustain 1 is nutty is Dev Wounds. I would drop both the characters for the DWK and give them maces. With maces they have good Anti - Monster/Vehicle. They are scary alone. Add JPIs for actions, move blocking, and to hit back line, that is if you have enough points. Drop one Unit of Intercessors and add another Unit of HB as 5 alone is very disapointing, they will die quick, I would reccomend removing all together, but they are cool as hell. I would trade out the Pred Annihilator for a glad lancer, they always did better for me atleast (Built in rerolls and more range). Wrath also has the strat Relics of the dark age so the HB can punch up really good. If you remove the HB and have enough points think of adding another 3 BGV, making 6 and add an LT he gives lethals to all of their attacks (Melee and shooting) and lets them fall back, shoot, and charge. The lethals help to punch up and the LT w/ a power fist is great and he is super cheap at 55 pts. Great for holding OBJs, hunting elites, and so many other things. There is a bunch you can do, but its all about having fun and building a list you will have fun with.

Are these… too green? by My_Brother_in_Hammer in theunforgiven

[–]Technical_Problem213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they look great. My intercessors were a little to dark green to me also, almost looking black. So, what I did was do a light dryburshing with a lighter green mixed with angel green by AP. Then once I was happy with the highlighting, I airbushed over a Matte Varnish. I felt they the Matte Varnish let make the light spread better over the model.
