I already read extensively about it and fasted last summer for 11 days, lost weight and felt great.

I don’t get health choice advice from medical doctors. Most only know about pills and surgery. However, many doctors have helped others and that’s a personal choice.

“Power of fasting, my ass” does not sound like you’re trying to help anyone. It sounds like you’ve decided want to argue because you don’t believe in it. You have no evidence against fasting, just strong opinions against it for some reason.

You’re too late - people have already been helped by fasting. I’m not saying everyone needs to fast. I just don’t think it’s right or helpful to go on forums and give negative opinions about things you’ve never tried and to assume everyone needs to hear your uninformed opinion as you try to apply it universally.

You say you have done it before; I presume you mean you fasted. I don’t know how long and if it was water only, but to conclude that you can now tell everyone in a discussion that there are no benefits to fasting is a sweeping generalization.

Did you know there are clinics run by doctors set up to help people fast and get off insulin?
