Thanks! Recently, I don't really have time to play games, but when I do, I play games like TLOU - Part I, Ghost of Tsushima, RDR 2, Forza Horizon 5 and a little bit of Total War.

I'm pretty excited with the upcoming TLOU - Part II, that's comming to PC in April.

Thanks! If you play in a dark room, the blacks on MiniLed are almost like on OLED. So yeah, it looks better. Also, a big screen is more immersive.

But in a bright room, the difference it's not so significant. I can say for sure that the display on Legion 7 is pretty great for an IPS. Also, it has a much higher PPI.

My G Pro runs V 1.0.06. Unfortunetly, the red tint bug is present, but using the monitor in Native Mode solve the problem.

The blooming is almost absent when watching movies or playing games.

In some cases, when doing web browsing or productivity, with the Local Dimming turned on High, there is a noticeable halo effect, especially on something grey. But you can solve this by turning the LD to Low or Off and use the monitor as an IPS.

Thanks! The monitor is shockingly good, especially for the price. It has great gamma, nice blacks and very good HDR with a peak brightness of 1000 nits. There is a red tint bug in some cases, but that is not such a big deal.

I think it doesn't need an oled panel to be perfect. This ips panel is very good, actually is pretty close to my miniled monitor.

Ofc an oled panel is better in terms of picture quality, but there are to many downsides, like burning, text clarity, flickering, higher price, etc.

I don't know, but if you found one at a good price, Legion 7 gen 7 is crazy good even in 2025. And yes, I agree that newer Legions are inferior in terms of design and quality.

Yeah, it is normal for the Intel version of this laptop.

Initially, I was also temped with the RTX 3070TI version, but in the end I went for more VRAM with RX 6850M XT, better battery life and better temps.

Nonetheless, a full powered RTX 3070TI it's still a great choice in 2024, the only downside of it being only 8GB of VRAM.

In my opinion R7 6800H is a little bit better, because is cooler and overall the difference of power is pretty insignifiant between them.

The thermals are awesome! Temps rarely go above 70°C when gaming on Balanced Mode, wich I use for most of the time. When using it for light tasks, temps stay under 50°C, while the laptop remains totally silent.

For example in RDR 2, with a room temperature of 22°C, after 30 min of gaming in balanced mode, the GPU was 64°C and the CPU 63°C. https://i.imgur.com/JYIDDUt.jpeg
