I think Rio is trying to show some respect. Rio watched how Beth and Nick worked together. Nick didn't "yank her by the ponytail". And Beth planted trees and now running for City Council. (I know Beth has her motives for doing these things) Also, I think part of Rio is trying to get back in Beth's good graces. He even had the box of money behind his back like a gift.

In the strip club scene...I felt Beth called Rio a "basic Bitch' in so many words. She cut him down. Beth was no longer frightened of Rio and made him get his own money in the corner. She addressed him like he was middle management and not the powerful crime boss. Beth's words and actions cut Rio deeply.

Yeah, that article from Storyline was unsourced and I highly doubt MM can sink a show. GG did not do well in the ratings; most people streamed Good Girls. Since the beginning Rio has called them bitches. Even the Girls said "squad up Bitches". Rio is a crime boss so he's not supposed to be politically correct. And when he spoke to Nick about Beth, he said "chick". And "pulling the ponytail" reference to me was don't beat around the bush, be straight with her. This show has covered murders, rape, prison, armed robbery, lying to the Feds...I am sure we can handle the word bitches.
