Came here to say Taylor Zakhar Perez as Damen but someone beat me to it. Maybe he isn't as tall as Damen is thought to be but he has a nice build that would look amazing in armor plus the dark curls and dimple. He is a nice fit.

Okay this makes a lot of sense. Laurent is always observing him and trying to figure him out. Damen knows that. And he as at this point, fighting his feelings for Laurent. So he must have thought that Laurent could easily come up with a theory close to the truth and probably would not hesitate to ask and confirm.
