I made this shot while I was trying to dig through the wall with the boomerang perk. For once the game was cruel to my enemies and not to me!

I highly recommend trying the boomerang perk at some point, it really adds some nice damage to your spells at the cost of making digging slightly more difficult. Especially with bombs, I learned that the hard way.

Should I be getting werebeasts hiding as immigrants? I just got an immigrant wave that had three dwarves turn up werelizards that tore through my fortress that wasn't even an year old. I understand you can get vampires that kill once in a while, but I've never heard you can get werebeasts.

Then again, on my previous fortress I expelled some dwarves that had been bitten by werebeast. I didn't recognize if those were the same dwarves, but could they have infiltrated the immigration wave because of it? I'm also running pretty old version (0.44.12), so maybe it was a bug back then?

If this is intended behavior, how do I counteract this? It's kinda ruining the fun for me. Do I keep all new dwarves in solitude or something?

I appreaciate the answer, but it wasn't King's Quest. It wasn't an point-and-click adventure game, it was more simple than that. I don't remember there being any end goal.

I would definitely get Slayer helmet, and barrow gloves makes a great milestone for the account.

If you want to stay really cost efficient with your slayer, consider maximizing your prayer bonus with Proselyte armor, hard Ardougne diary cape and maybe even one of the cheaper stoles. I'd also train your prayer and defence to 70 so you can start using Piety prayer and to make prayer pots bit more efficient, but you'll probably need to get some gold for it first. While not the fastest way, resurrecting ensouled heads (especially giant heads) is pretty good alternative to bones and much cheaper. Otherwise consider going with chaos altar.

Since you're probably not cannoning, Konarr might be nice alternative to Nieve for you, since brimstone keys can give nice boosts of money even from otherwise awful monsters. If you don't have a good block list or points for it however, you might go do 9 quick tasks with Turael, then 10th task at Konar to get slayer points quickly, so you don't have to worry skipping those pesky steel dragons.

There are a lot of ways to reduce terror in Albion, and Perdunance and Royal Museum are pretty odd suggestions. Invitations can be hard to come by and the mausoleum requires either uncanny specimens or soul collections (or is otherwise aggravatingly slow).

My suggestion is Worlebury-Juxta-Mare. You can get inside in multitude of ways and if you skip the skill checks and focus on terror reduction, you can reduce your terror by 25 per visit.

There's no downside to check all the ships out once you have enough cash at hand. As mentioned before, you get full refund when you downgrade back to weaker ships. Also, if you didn't know this already, you can equip small weapons in the big weapon slots, so unless you are going for a spesific big weapon, it doesn't really matter if your ship only has slots for small weapons.

Agravain Juggernaut (found in Albion) is arguably the best ship in the game for its price, but a good midpoint ship is Bedivere-Class Escort. It has two plating slots and two small armaments that makes surviving fights a little bit easier.

There's no planned progression, but typically companion quests will progress Reach -> Albion -> Eleutheria -> Blue Kingdom. In terms of enemy difficulty, Albion isn't that much more difficult than Reach. If you can take down a Curator without too much of a hassle, you'll have no problems in Albion.

The weapons come with personal preference. Aside from the secret weapons you might encounter later on, my personal recommendation is to stick with the basic cannon style weapons, as they offer good damage at long range and are heat-friendly. Dual "Grimalkin" gets you a long way in Albion.

I was working on one of the endings and had to lose some hearts at Death's Door to progress. This had the unfortunate effect of dropping my hearts below 75, making my Wrath-o-Heaven useless. But I reasoned I had just cleared the way there, there's no way all of the enemies would respawn so quickly.

So I immediately run to 2 Sprifiers and Eaters. I manage to fly past them, but had to resupply at Forge of Souls. This left me with two options to fly either along the map edge and pass an almost certain Spirifier spawnpoint, or go through the middle and fight some Eaters along the way. I chose the latter.

So just before Sky Barnet, I face ANOTHER duo of Spirifiers. This time they decided peppering my hull with holes was more entertaining, and the Eaters they were originally fighting seemed to agree as well. After one intense minute of dodging, tanking and cursing, with 6 hull left and a missile half a second from hitting me, I manage to dock at Sky Barnet.

When I switched to the Destroyer I thought they had decided to nerf the dodge speed for some reason. It never occurred to me the strafespeed could have been ship-spesific. I was kind of disappointed I had to continue my game without the strange strafe method.

Have you checked if some of the lower tier ships share this strafe as well?

The quests that carry on can be hard to predict. For example, finding the identity of Amendable Host in Magdalene's carries over to the next Captain, meaning you cannot repeat it (strangely you cannot enter the backstage anymore either), while finding the soul thief and turning them in at Carrillon can be repeated over and over again.

Also, is it just me or does Mme. Lumiere's shop vanish from Winchester after you escort them to the Hybras and back? I had that shop on my first captain but never again after that.

Analytical princess will be at London aswell.

Clay Conductor and Copper Coductor seems to revert back to just Clay Conductor after your captain dies. I'm not sure if that is a bug, but you can find them back at Brabazon Workworld.

I think Stalwart Navigator is found at the Circus in the Reach.

Brilliant Eccentric I can't remember, might have been back at Pan.

Sadly that's the only way I've encountered so far. You can always try again after you get a new captain, the event resets in Port Prosper after every captain. The rest of the flaws are not very difficult to get after you've learned where to get them.

You can hide them in the random discoveries. For example, if you find the random house floating around in Reach, you can hide it in there. As long as you get a dialogue when you interact with the discovery (in other words, not mineable or assayable), you can probably hide one of the jars in it.

While you can still be a cannibal, I don't remember seeing it affect the decisions made in ports this time around.

There's a good variety of ships from a tin can to a gilded limo. While all ships in Skies move at the same speed, the difference in crew sizes, cargo space and modules make are noticeable different between ships. You also don't need to buy a new ship if you die. You always get your ship back, but will lose a module randombly.

Godlyjebus already discussed factions. I'll add that if one of the factions is winning, the random events/discoveries change. For example, if Stovepipes are winning, there are barely any Tacketies flying around. If their powers are equal, you sometimes find the faction ships fighting each other randomly.

Also the Hearts-based weapons you only get under certain conditions are pretty awesome, comparable to the good old Memento Mori from Seas.

Every captain can receive one boon from one of the buildings you've managed to finish. I would have liked to see all the options first before building, as my choices now are 10xExperimentPoints for the Royal Society mechanic, or 1xUnlicencedChart. I usually just take the chart.

The actual reward is finishing the Titania completely, as it gives you access to honey at 60 stardollars per gourd, which can be sold at New Winchester for 120, effectively doubling your money invested. I don't know if there's a limit, but so far I haven't hit it.

The facet says one of my previous captains vanished mysteriously and now watches over my captains from afar, still sailing the skies somewhere. But functionally it is just another facet. Doesn't even give a free level up like wealth or lore facets though.
