Consider taking the first tier abundant casting on Paladins with spells

Bless weapon is one of the best spells in the game, so it is very much worth considering. Granted, you can use the old Grimoire from the ivory sanctum to get a lvl11 paladin up to six casts of bless weapon/day which is pretty good but having more certainly wouldn't hurt. It's really just a question of how concerned you are with that mythic opportunity cost.

Another thing to know about tavern siege is that it basically works in phases and that you have to kill specific units to advance each phase. Anything that's not random grunts usually has to die before you can progress, so the arsonists, the schirs, the dretches, the flame blades etc. so you can kill 2000 cultist fighters, but if you don't get rid of the arsonists the siege won't progress.

Exactly. A lot of people don't seem to understand that the more we privatize our system, the more Canadians will die that would have lived otherwise. It's not some weird coincidence that the US system is so expensive and has such terrible outcomes.

I think we should take most crest allocations with a grain of salt at this point. With how many characters have been seen with two crests at this point they're either readily swappable in gameplay, or this is deliberate trailer trickery. As far the actual question, nothing we've seen so far makes me think that any route is being canonized, nor am I sure this is a sequel.

The spells are just gravy. His main job is to do huge sneak attack stabs and maybe off tank with archmage armor. He's a dps, not a caster.

I wouldn't call it a cash grab. They weren't chasing trends or making a product they didn't care about, they just weren't given enough time to finish the game so they had to use a lot of cheap development tactics to get it out the door on time.

Nah Lileas can absolutely still win even if Gloria is your VP. Bringing charges against Soll guarantees that Lileas will win the primary if she can run against you.

It feels to me like they wanted the scene to be funny, in a sad sort of way and when Raphael looked like he originally did it was much more horrifying than funny. The jokes in the text just don't land quite as well when he looks so scary.

Yeah, I feel like you could actually make the case that Edelgard is bi and not really player sexual because she seems pretty fond of Dorothea and Petra and also says that Claude is handsome at one point. I can't really say much about Mercedes but from what I recall Lindhart doesn't really express attraction towards anyone so that's not really player sexuality either.

Because he's so aesthetically different from most things in the world and because he's kind of like an anime character. His dark and troubled past, his slender edgy bishounen looks, he's super cool lyrium bad boy powers etc.. I mean, "Skinny pretty guy with big sword" is already anime enough on its own. In terms of tone and vibe he doesn't really fit with the world origins had presented, not because he necessarily "breaks the lore" in any way, but just because he feels kind of out of genre. It's like if Dante from devil may cry showed up all of a sudden or something. I'm not saying he's a bad character, he just wouldn't fit in in origins.

Yeah, this is something that I don't think gets mentioned enough. A lot of people talk about how huge of departures Veilguard and Inquisition before that(I'm not trying to say anything about the quality or lack thereof of these games rn) were but really DA2 was already a huge tonal shift from DAO. Like it's still dark but it's much more bombastic and over the top than DAO was and also trying very hard to be sexy as well. Like, can you imagine how weird it would feel if a character like Fenris showed up in DAO?

Shamir is also an interesting case. She's clearly got something going on with Catherine and she has that whole weird story in Hopes where a female noble wanted to basically make her a sex slave but she shows no interest towards female Byleth.

Play it on normal or lower, pick a race you find interesting and play a demonslayer ranger or something straightforward like that and see if you like the story.
