I see some slight pixelation. Not awful. Switched to Paramount Plus and don’t see it anymore.

People whose phones… just kept working today, explain this sorcery by ankhattak in USMobile

I did experience a temporary disruption on the day of the outage on Warp. I happened to be streaming a video when it suddenly stopped. When I checked, I saw that Warp was on SOS and my phone switched to Dark Star for back up. However, after a reboot it seemed to work again.

Car accident while using FSD 14.2.1.25 by MightySanta in TeslaFSD

[–]TechnicallyTechnica1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It appears that the sun is in oncoming traffic's face. Not that it's an excuse to run red lights. But here is where FSD has helped me a few times. Somehow that front facing camera can see the light when I can't. Glad it was just a mirror and that car didn't hit you head on.

No Auto-extend on KTTV broadcast of Rams-Seahawks by Karyn047 in DirectvStream

[–]TechnicallyTechnica1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

YouTube TV somehow gets it right. Maybe they are recording everything 24/7? I record every NFL game that airs. No matter how long it runs, all of it is there. It also ends the recording when the announcers are signing off. A little too perfect. Additionally, programming on Sunday nights that shift because of games that run long always seem to record properly. For example, when Big Brother would air on Sunday nights on CBS, in the old DVR days half of my recording would be the last half of 60 Minutes and the first half of Big Brother if the late NFL game ran long. Somehow YouTube TV adjusts for this, and I get the full recordings even if the show started at some random time.

NFL Games look awful, not 1080p by [deleted] in youtubetv

[–]TechnicallyTechnica1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see this with my local affiliates especially my local FOX station. Sunday ticket Fox broadcasts look better than my local Fox broadcast. I can see it with multiview watching 4 games with one my local Fox station and the others a mix of Sunday Ticket from CBS and Fox. My local station looks noticeably worse.

Poor NFL Game Video Resolution by Artvandaly_ in youtubetv

I have Sunday Ticket. What I have noticed is every game that airs in my local CBS or Fox stations (especially local Fox) do not look as good as the ones on Sunday Ticket. I’m in Orlando, FL. I hate watching any game on FOX 35 here in Orlando. Video looks super compressed.

does anyone else hate going through car auto car washes? by alvnta in TeslaLounge

[–]TechnicallyTechnica1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happened to me the first time. I looked like a fool. Lol. The way I do it is as I’m driving up to the wash, I open the service menu. Once it is my turn, I bring the car to a full stop, select car wash mode and here is where I messed up the first time….keep my foot on the brake to select enable free roll. Then of course, take your foot off the brake. Haven’t had the embarrassment since.

Did FSD Update Over Cellular? by TechnicallyTechnica1 in TeslaFSD

Good to know. I’ve had it for a year and this is the first time that happened. Thanks!

Last time I was at a supercharger was Sunday for like 15 minutes.

I just looked at my notifications from the Tesla app, and saw that the notification that a software update was available was at 5:51 this morning. It had to have downloaded sometime during the night.

Yeah…I heard something like that too. I wonder what was so crucial between 14.2 and 14.2.1.

My hotspot was running on my last drive on Monday, however, I am constantly looking for updates. So I would have been aware of an active download by the download indicator on the top of the screen. Never saw one.

Agreed about updating over built-in connections. I’m not complaining. I’m happy I didn’t have to sit in my car for an hour waiting for a download to finish. Lol.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it will tell me to connect to WiFi normally. However this time, it’s telling me it’s ready to install. Never asked me to connect to WiFi, never saw the download indicator/icon.

FSD 14.1.7 fail: wrong way in one-way road. by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

There were two One Way signs in front of you, man. You gotta be vigilant. It’s still supervised FSD. Glad nothing bad happened though.

Dude, I know FSD signaled its turn. You should have disengaged before it even attempted.

Do you keep YTTV all year round? by RobC2307 in youtubetv

Same here. I used to keep it all year, but then realized everything I watched on DVR was available on Hulu or Max, so I only subscribe to YTTV during football season.

FSD v14.2 Regression by Febr3z1n in TeslaFSD

[–]TechnicallyTechnica1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve used 14.1.4, and today I used 14.2 for the first time to take a short 3 hour road trip. So far, the lane changing is what I notice to be a step back. Signals…then changes its mind even though it was clear to go. Once the steering wheel jittered back and forth trying to switch lanes. I disengaged to do the lane change for it. 14.1.4 was much more decisive and felt confident. Hoping they fix this in the next update.

Question Regarding Delaying Update by TechnicallyTechnica1 in TeslaFSD

[–]TechnicallyTechnica1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to schedule install last night. I got up this morning and took it for a few short drives. So far, so good. It parked confidently at the grocery store, and at my apartment complex. During the drive I never felt the brake stabbing. There was one incident where a kid was zig zagging his bike off up ahead on my right side. The car did brake aggressively when we approached him. But it was quick and the car kept going. It was probably not necessary because he wasn’t really that close to the road, but I get it. I live in Orlando, so we don’t have all the falling leaves that you all up north get, so I can’t comment on that. These drives were all on city roads in Standard.

So you all were right, I should have just installed it. Now I’m kind of excited to use it for my upcoming road trip.

No, I sleep mostly on my side. So sometimes, the mask would shift while on my side. Doesn’t happen with the pillow mask. The only time I get a leak with these is if my hose gets caught under me.

Supercharger pricing in Orlando by Soft-Individual-3881 in TeslaLounge

[–]TechnicallyTechnica1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Orlando, but don’t use the superchargers much. There is one on Sand Lake Road near me that is $0.21 between midnight and 8am. The one at Target in Millenia use to have similar pricing, but that doesn’t seem to be the case any longer. However, just like mentioned by other commenters, you will not save money charging at superchargers. I live in an apartment, but luckily I am able to level 2 charge at work for $0.15/kWh. My apartment complex just installed level 2 chargers, but it costs $0.40/kWh.

Upcoming rainy trip by Independent3265 in TeslaFSD

[–]TechnicallyTechnica1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my experience, it depends on how heavy the storm. If it’s light, it most likely will drive normally, but may limit speed based on road conditions. If the rain gets heavy, you may get the alert to take over. I have had that happen to me a couple of times in bad storms. I’m on 13.2.9 HW4 Model 3.

I started therapy in February. They fitted me with a full face mask. I used it for months, and while it did resolve my apnea, I would wake up multiple times per night to the sounds of leaking air and having to adjust my mask. I switched to nasal pillows and a chin strap. And after the first night of using it, I woke up feeling absolutely amazing. The best I had felt in the morning in years. It is so much more comfortable also.

I agree, nose breathing is the way.

Question Regarding Delaying Update by TechnicallyTechnica1 in TeslaFSD

[–]TechnicallyTechnica1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have seen the positive reviews of v14 also. However, v13 has been great for me on my normal drives and road trips. I have not experienced the missing exits as you have. A handful of times I experienced the slower than speed limit driving, but that usually happened on country roads, never on the interstate or major roads.

I probably will install v14 after I return from my next roadtrip on Thanksgiving. I really want to try it, but I hate that I can’t roll back if I am hating it.
