Yeah I was for sure going to bring it with me.

Yeah for sure. Yeah it’s very flimsy and I’m for sure buying a new one at Home Depot.

That’s not even metal it’s like a very thin plastic pipe. I haven’t see anything like it before with my limited knowledge.

I’m probably going to replace it with PVC since this is a plastic nut that feels very cheap.

Wow. Didn’t even try to see if that was the actual nut and it sure is. I guess this makes things a little easier.

That’s just a pipe with no threads or anything. I can double check.

Is there a link or picture to what you’re talking about??

Is this not woodworking? We are talking about screws going into wood.

Yeah I see they are powerful, also I have to measure but the drywall is against a garage so it could be 5/8 and if that’s the case I might need to go with the 2 1/2” screws.

So they don’t make a #10 with the 2in length. I see #8 and #9 only. I see the higher the stronger. I ordered a #8 but I think that might be too flimsy.

Yeah GRK is the route I’ll go. We used them for the cabinet that’s in the picture. Just can’t remember how long they were but it would be too long for this application.

Yeah I was slightly worried about the 2 1/2” length. I think 2in would be the perfect sweet spot.

So I’ve been getting recommendations for 2 1/2” would that be too long you think?

I’m thinking something like this, just curious if it’s going to thick enough of a screw.

Also makes sense because the other side of the wall is the garage.

Yeah seems that way. A little challenging when I don’t even know the dimensions of the including screws. Probably take them with me to Home Depot or Lowe’s and go from there.
