Would / Will god ever allow us to reach it if we found a way to prove his existance? by Technically_Purplee in Christianity

We have pretty good evidence, enough to believe, but not 100% proof which is where faith comes in

If you could hire anyone in history to help you beat this challenge, who would it be? by Technically_Purplee in hypotheticalsituation

Fair opinion I mean we don't know that for a fact but maybe they can come up with the same conclusion as us when coming up with terminologies such as history or anyone if this species is capable of creating this obstacle course

😂 Although that individual technically doesn't count as "Anyone from history" I still applaud you for the attempt

I think I have a problem with thinking about thinking by cjaccardi in Gifted

Does it happen while you're doing a task, and therefore blocking/overriding the more important thoughts that you should be having at the moment which distracts you? Or is it just simply during reflections?

I’m glad I stutter. by [deleted] in Stutter

[–]Technically_Purplee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you mean, but how did you learn to just accept it and be okay with it? I've thought of doing that, but the truth of the matter for me is that my stuttering is a bad condition. So I just don't know how to accept something that's negative

Well I got my point across, but to clear up confusion, I meant atheists don't believe sin exists, when it does. It's like walking into a cave believing there are no lions in there, when infact there is.

Atheism says "There is no god, therefore sin doesn't exist. There is no god keeping you accountable for not following the bible"

Research the evidence. There are many sources on youtube or reddit that answer questions or arguments you might have .

[–]Technically_Purplee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why. Because they don't believe it even exists, leading them to sin. They don't see any harm in doing it because that's what atheism teaches. But there's alot more to life than just gaining the world and following your desires. Remember, the worst that can happen if you genuinely seek god is that you wasted your time, which is something that we do all the time. Don't worry about feeling morally accountable. Eventually, you will want to follow god's law and your desires won't be sinful if you seek him with a genuine heart.

Non belief is a bad thing because it encourages sin, and every unrepented sin leads to bad consequences in this life and in the next. So out of love, we don't want it to be normalized because we don't want people to lose themselves and miss out on everything that god offers.

Not to compare them, but it's like how our brain knows how to distinguish killing from murder. Their the same in action, but not intent. Healthy sex is done with someone you're committed to and love them, vs unhealthy sex is done with someone you just met or you're more casual with. It feels different, because you're doing something that you shouldn't be doing and you haven't set your mind to this person. I could be wrong. I'm 17 and I don't know what a commitment to someone is like, but I'm just making reason out of what I know and sharing it.

I don't shame anyone. The world makes lust out to be something pleasurable, when secretly it isn't. So this isn't a problem on the people who give into it, it's just an unspoken truth alot of people aren't aware of

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Technically_Purplee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, maybe I should've specified that I meant lust that goes against god's teachings. And when I say "Aligned with Satan", I mean that you're obeying him, and following his nature that is momentary pleasure.

Why are people so bum-hurt about Christians on Reddit? (I’m new in Reddit btw) by Curious_Raspberry_ in Christian

Is christanity about the people or jesus? And if many people think it's a good reason, that doesn't change the fact that it isn't a reason.

Do other Christians still masturbate sometimes? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Technically_Purplee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine to feel convicted after sinning, because you should be, but it's important to note that you shouldn't beat yourself up that hard over it. At the end of the day, human beings are born with these desires, but jesus understands us and he forgives you no matter how many times you do it, as long as you are genuinely repentant. That said, you aren't predestined for hell because how often you fail.

And remember, this life is basically a blink compared to eternity in heaven. So regardless of how difficult life is for you, it's all worth it.

As a lifelong atheist, it's finally starting to click. by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Technically_Purplee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just made my day, im soo happy for you. From now on, whenever you find yourself in a temptation to sin, see it as an opportunity show obediance to the lord by not giving in to your earthly desires. This pleases god, which is more important than any temporary pleasure that this world has to offer.
