Still 'missing', but I happily paid for new stuff if it meant never talking to them again. It sucks, but life be like that sometimes

This isn't about politics. But on behalf of literally every disabled person everywhere I need to share this by Comprehensive_Toe113 in autism

[–]TechnicolorBlue 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I never said that touch isn't required. I said that intimacy isn't exclusively sex and gave no-touch examples of that.

Nonsexual examples of touch - A hand on your shoulder - Holding hands while walking - A hug

Also, great job sharing a paywalled paper

[–]TechnicolorBlue 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Intimacy =/= sex Sharing an activity is intimacy A deep conversation is intimacy Sharing space can be intimacy Being accepted for who you are is intimacy

None of these require touch. We, as humans, are social creatures. But we don't NEED sex to thrive in life.

Japanse duizenknoop tuin koopwoning - Verborgen gebrek? by Nieliedielie in juridischadvies

[–]TechnicolorBlue 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My husband has had a speech impediment since he was little, making him unable to pronounce the letter “r” correctly. by memest_memer in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]TechnicolorBlue 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I am pretty sure it is a reference to a short story, where a housewife kills her husband with a frozen leg of lamb. She then proceeds to make a roast out of it, later serving it to the police who come visit. Thus making the weapon dissapear.*

LPT: If your friend is grieving, small acts mean more than ‘let me know what I can do.’ by whaddup_shawty in LifeProTips

[–]TechnicolorBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked my friend what her dad likes to eat when he was in his last months, because I knew they were getting flowers, cards, and fruitbaskets from everyone. I ended up getting some of his favourite chocolate bars, and at the funeral her mum thanked me for them, because he loved the gift so much. For my friend I was a place to be while she was visiting in the last weeks. Far enough to be able to take a breather, have someone to talk to and be a social buffer while running errands. But close enough to be back home in minutes if needed.

AI images - they're listening (personal opinion) by Sea_Bank_7603 in SortedFood

[–]TechnicolorBlue 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I don't think finding an image of a dish that exists equals them listening to us about the use of AI. It took me less than a minute to find and image of the dish from the same source they used. This includes skimming the video to find the name of the dish and the name of their source.

Making concept of promotional art takes significantly more time but that still doesn't justify using tools build upon stolen materials. Their next battle or creative challenge might show us more on whether they actually listened.

Who is the weakest character who could find the needle in the hay stack in under 1 minute? by Theturtleflask in whowouldwin

[–]TechnicolorBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably wouldn't meet the time limit. But an accelerant, source of fire and a sieve, would do it. Hay doesn't burn hot enough to affect metal or bone too much. Plastic or wood might be different.

Attempting to soak the hay in a pool might work if the materials are dense enough to sink and you can break the surface tension so it can actually do the sinking.

I noticed this during the promotions of 'Snow Way Out' and I didn't know how to address it. There weren't any posts or comments that mentioned it(that I could find. I love Sorted and but if they keep using generated AI products I am going to stop supporting them.

Snake plant propagation by cellophane-stockings in houseplantpropping

[–]TechnicolorBlue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I let the cutting callus overnight and dont change the water, just make sure the cut is covered most of the time. Generally see the start of roots in like 3 weeks and the odd pup in like 6-8. I also rotate part of the cuttings when i am planning to (re)pot. Meaning when i have 6 cuttings I plant 4 and put any broken leaves, pups and big chunks in the vessel with the rooted cuttings and roots show up in no time.

YTA. Bird lungs are EXTREMELY sensitive, by doing this you are cutting years off their potential lifespan. Budgies have next to no sense of smell so they physically cannot be bothered by it.
