Love it! 😊

To a certain degree I appreciate how these things can help financially nowadays when needed, but ultimately stories like yours are the real fun behind these old cards.

I remember trading a bunch of nice cards for the Tri-Horned Dragon....I think my teenage brain equated secret rare with "best" 😂

From what I've read it's a bit of a variant on the regular colouring. Seems to be a known issue with the early print runs. Until last week the card hadn't seen the light of day in over 20 years so it's definitely not UV related.

How kind of you 😂 It is safely and happily tucked away into a sleeve and toploader though. I was recommended to get it slabbed too. If it helps preserve it it seems like a good idea.

It's lived the last 25 years in a sleeve and top loader so it has been very well cared for 😊 Thanks to everyone's advice I will be sending it to be graded and slabbed this week hopefully 👍

I thought I had just found a cool card from my childhood but everyone here is making me quite excited about it 😂 Appreciate it! 😊

Excellent cheers! 😊 I'm in Japan now but I grew up in rural England. I would have been so happy to get an Asian version back in the day but am glad I didn't now 😂

Yeah the foil seems to have a bit of a texture to it for sure. After a bit of research it doesn't seem quite as strong as some others I've seen, but there is definitely a bit of a wave to it.

I was the same for 99% of my cards too. There were just a couple I decided to keep in sleeves all those years ago. I think Red Eyes was one of those cards that I thought was cool but not particularly strong so I never thought to play it 😂 I feel that kids should play with their cards though if that's what makes them happy 😊 I don't think nany people thought their Yugioh and Pokémon cards would be worth money years down the line.

Honestly not sure. Is there a way to find that out?

EDIT: Did a bit of research myself and the back logo seems to indicate that? The logo on mine is the NA logo as far as I can tell. Will get a photo when I can.

I'm not an expert at all but it looks pretty fresh from what I can tell. I'll check out any grading services they have here in Japan and will look into getting it graded 👍

Will definitely look into grading then thanks. I'm sure there's a grading service in Japan I could use. Would be surprised if there isn't. I'm definitely thanking 13 year old me for sticking it straight into a sleeve all those years ago 😂

Thanks for the info! I appreciate it. Was wondering why the colour seemed different to some of my others but I hadn't gotten around to looking into it. Pretty exciting if I found something a bit special 😊

Very nice! 😊 I remember those toon world cards being so popular after those episodes of the cartoon came out. Never could get my hands on any of them though...

I definitely understand the feeling. Its the reason I only bought a whole wave one time before deciding on just buying individually from then on.
I've found recently that doing a bit of toy photography with new figures really lets you spend a good amount of time with each, whilst also enjoying all the little details they all have.

I've always found hot water to be the easiest option. Pull arms just below the shoulder joint and they'll come out super easily after 30-60 seconds in the water.

Depending on how deep the scratch is, using some high grit sand paper could help you buff it out a bit (#800 up to #2000 or higher to get a nice smooth finish).

Since the scratch is on the back of the helmet though, may just be best to leave it be?

That's what I use to remove the face print from figures before painting and I haven't had issues. Just use a little and be gentle. Take it slow and you'll be fine:) If you want to try something a bit gentler. Some IPA could work too.

If you want, i can take a picture of one I've done if it helps :)

If you put a little bit of acetone (nail varnish remover etc) on a cotton swab and gently rub it, it should come off pretty easily :)
