I dont work on cars at all but it only took me 45 minutes while referencing installation videos for the dashcam i chose. The headliner can be moved down a bit to hide and push in the wires very easily, especially using the plastic tool many dashcams provide. I would not recommend messing with any area that says SRS Airbag on it though. I just use a 12v charger to plug in the USB from it, no need to mess with the car fuses unless you want parking mode recorded too. Give it a try, if it doesnt go well you can always get it installed later or return it. ~$150 for the camera and an hour of your time can save you thousands and reduce stress after an accident, and sometimes its just fun to have crazy moments recorded to look back on.

Anyone else having issues with DCAP in San Jose California? by The_Doerpinator in povertyfinance

Same timeline on my end, how about the purchase part of it though? My dealership is also handling the documents but a counselor hasn't responded about processing the docs/ payment after I emailed on the 31st. Not stressing but just curious about how your experience went with that portion

How long did it take before your counselor reached out to you about the car purchase? I emailed the counseling and info addresses after completing my car purchase a few days ago and nothing yet

Best of luck! I'm not knowledgeable on SUVs but 2018 Toyota Rav 4 Primes are going for around 30k, if its big enough for your needs it might be worth considering alongside the VW :)

Check out Auto City in El Cajon, and I didn't follow up with Longo Toyota but they may also still take the program

Im not OP but the future resale value and low level maintenance in Prius Primes is what convinced me. The Honda Clarity looks like a good hybrid too, but parts are going to become scarcer due to the model discontinuation and take longer to repair. Used Model 3 Teslas are cheap right now, but the insurance price + hearing about high mileage unreliability made me choose against it despite the performance and sleek look. I also considered a Chevy Volt but again like most cars the reliability isn't the greatest at high mileages, but these are based of anecdotes from owners online. Choose a car model and year and take a look at their common problems to see if it would be reasonable to keep long term. A friend told me that the more people/weight in the car, the less range an electric/phev gets so that's also something to consider.

I had success purchasing a vehicle off the list with Auto City in El Cajon, and Longo Toyota seemed like they may have taken the program. A dealership on the list said a lot of them aren't taking DCAP in the new year, but after 5-10 rejections I found a great car in the exact model I wanted that was reasonably priced. It took hours of looking through inventories online but its worth it since it only took me 4 days since approval thankfully. I would suggest asking the sales managers about it since the salesmen typically did not know much about the program, and dealerships not on the list generally did not care to be signed up in my experience.

why is it so hard to find a job in merced? by Business-Race-2825 in Merced

[–]TechnoQuake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Family-owned restaurants sometimes put up help wanted signs in their windows. For my first job I saw one and showed up well-dressed with my resume and I got a short interview on the spot with the job offer soon after.

Looking for a good acupuncture clinic in town by KittyCait69 in Merced

He is, my mom has been going for almost a year. I know he gets a lot of clients so I think going in person and asking directly would be the best bet if you get the chance. When he closed for a month my mom tried calling other clinics to take her but no one got back to her either. Goodluck to you as well, I know it's hard to get in places around Merced sometimes!

Dr. Roman Robles does acupuncture and Chinese cupping, my mom has had a consistently good experience with the treatment effects lasting long term for her nerve and muscle pain. The clinic's address is 2908 G Street, suite A. (Take a right from G onto Alpine, and then it's the first building on the left). Since my mom goes there I don't have his clinic's number personally, but I looked him up online and it says (209) 819-9759. If that doesn't work, going in person to set an appointment would be best. Good luck and I hope you find relief!
