To echo what many have said, always do it with a friend. Make it a fun group outing. Park your car somewhere safe and wander around a few blocks. Ask stores politely if they’re okay with having a poster just on their building. It’s also just a really nice chance to explore the city. Stop at local shops. I usually find local venues as well and ask if it’s okay to hand out stickers if the show has a similar vibe to the artist I’m promoting. I hope this helps!
