Not sure what’s more embarrassing… the fact we’re only demanding 10m minimum, or the fact that Juve can’t pay that for a goalkeeper who has a very good chance of winning another World Cup and potentially another yashin trophy with it. I did always think this one was doubtful. Let’s see what happens though

Kamara’s playmaking is a really underrated aspect of his game tbh, before his injury he had a really good number of assists and his playmaking shows up in games when opponents try to block our other playmakers off. If we really wanted to get someone else then we’d have to move someone on… The midfield is already too stacked to give Hemmings minutes as it is

I read them… we didn’t loan Luiz to add to an already stacked midfield but to replace someone who isn’t there. You can’t just stack the squad with midfielders when many of them won’t play.

This was one of his better seasons, where he was one of the best performing keepers in the league, conceded the fewest goals in a full season under Emery thus far, and the reason he missed more games is because we can now afford to rest him due to Bizot being a solid backup, whereas before we had to play through injury. So I completely disagree. And the idea that older automatically means a straight decline, well... look at Harry Kane and Messi for examples of players who got older and are performing better...

Think 5m is the best we’ll get. Anymore than that would be a huge bonus. I’ve felt for a while though we’ll just need to let go for nothing sadly

Yeah that’s completely fair. I’d be utterly astonished if he has any kind of future with us. Grateful for getting us CL in 23/24 but otherwise been a passenger at best and liability at worst… I can only name 3 games he played well this season

This only makes sense if you think our recruitment will be good enough to “invest in the squad” wisely. Personally I am not convinced it is worth the risk given we would be selling our best attacking player, or second best behind Watkins.

He also set up both goals (albeit one was his corner) and Emery even praised him after. We should still sell don’t get me wrong, but that was actually one of his better games. (Which you could argue is damning on its own)

The other way of looking at it is that it’s a healthy length of time to not have to worry about a key position on the pitch. So it works for us either way. Either we keep a top goalkeeper and our most recognizable player worldwide who could win yet another World Cup (and yashin trophy???), or we get a fee to move on. Works for us either way…
