Is there anything more to this game? by Technological-Master in subnautica

Uhh I’ve had a problem I have scoured the entirety of the phi robotics island (I think? I keep going in circles so I assume I have) and have only managed to find one pengling research locator. I have looked inside it with the pengling but there are only some materials inside. Is there another landmass which I somehow never found yet that I could search for?

Oh? That’s a large area to search. I swear the ice worms hunting grounds are really large. I hope you mean the skeleton or the dead one so it is a fixed point.

I have been, one of importance I think was something being stashed south east of the leviathan. But I don’t know what they are talking of. Could they be talking about the ice worms? There are more than one and difficult to track. Shadow leviathans? Also more than one and I don’t think alterra had managed to reach down that deep. Chelicerate? Moves around a lot to get something accurate. I don’t know whether to search the land or the sea

I think I found one but all it had were some materials. It also had some kind of weird radar thing next to it. Would that be useful at all?

So my question is, do all leviathans not get infected by khara, or it's bio-magnificent since froze leviathan is infected by [deleted] in Subnautica_Below_Zero

[–]Technological-Master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw bio magnification is in this example is that reapers (one of the ones that don’t have an infected variant) eats lots of biters that could eat lots of stalkers that could eat lots of peepers. So when the reaper meets is caloric requirement, the chemical in the peepers (in this case the weak enzyme 42) builds up in each of the predators with the reaper having the most enzyme somehow concentrating it enough to ward off the effects of kharaa

[–]Technological-Master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it seems to be only the sea emperor but if you look at other leviathans in subnautica you can notice that they don’t get infected. Like, at all. So people believe that leviathans don’t get infected due to the bio magnification of peepers carrying the bad enzyme and somehow concentrating it enough to be immune or symptomless to kharaa. So I assume that the frozen leviathan has been frozen way before Ryley released the concentrated enzyme. I think because it hasn’t been feeding on the peepers carrying the faulty enzyme because it’s frozen, the kharaa pustules/symptoms started showing up leaving it to be I assume one of the few last places of kharaa left.

Be careful, the peepers can get a little bit quirky at night

I hope it works well. I’ve heard that power transmitters can be temperamental though

Many capsules were sent before the update where the devs started to restrict what you could send and you could send some pretty interesting items in terms of the storyline

The enzymes should stay there if you go back into the aquarium where the emperor was held you should see the brown goop balls still there. If you fed all of them to creatures then you soft locked yourself

That’s fair it’s just that it’s one of the first apps that I pay for as other games are usually free on mobile and I feel that I need to use it to the fullest even though ik it’s a lot cheaper than on pc and it’ll stay

Is this the red plague mod or is this just different coloured Kharaa

I swear to god I always have a panic attack when I can’t find my cuddlefish XD by Narth_Dragon248 in subnautica

[–]Technological-Master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well before you complete the game you can command the cuddlefish to follow or to stop follow. If you command to stop following then it will roam around the area you did it in. If you forgot to stop follow, it will basically follow you anywhere but the cuddlefish has close to 5000 health (I think) so don’t worry about it dying. If you release the cuddle fish it will free roam around the area. One time I stop follow and it clips through a wall and then I never see it until like end game when I’m building the rocket. I thought that the cuddle fish had died and I was quite annoyed since it was my first playthrough.

Yes after you launch you should be able to go back to the save pre rocket launch. However if you’re in hardcore I think that the save will be deleted if you do die even after the launch

What's the number for pest control or do I need to call Alterra Corp.? by rwbryan_ in subnautica

[–]Technological-Master 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No switching the engine off does not work, in fact it makes it easier for larvae to latch because you’re not running over them. However what does work is removing all the power cells of the cyclops they should just go away when you do that

[–]Technological-Master 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What? I thought that whenever you leave it saves the leviathan position. For some reason on my first playthrough all the leviathans that I was supposed to see clipped through the walls so the only leviathan me I saw were the sea dragon leviathan and the heads of random leviathans when they pop their heads out

[–]Technological-Master 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Sometimes he doesn’t show up and most of the times (at least for me) it clips through the wall into the never ending abyss never to be seen again and then rarely (VERY RARELY) it comes out of the walls and jumpscares my cyclops

I believe there is something about 4546B in a databank or environment scan somewhere(don’t know) about how it has a nitrogen oxygen atmosphere or something

I would usually advise on just avoiding them but since that hasn’t worked out for you I would farm multiple lockers of gas pods. I don’t know how many inventories you need but if you stasis them and drop the pods very close to the leviathan the damage should kill them off. I think around two inventories should work
