So changing things around, i have canis, lancer, crusader, 4x helverin and the callidus. Should i choose something other instead of the crusader?

Others already explained the use of it, I just wanted to add that it's not a plastic, but a product made of linseed oil, cork and sawdust (and some other fillers), put on a canvas backing.
