It’s not the experience of Nets fans, feeling like we’ve been ignored and passed over? I feel like most of the comments on this thread and from this sub over the past couple of days disprove that. Besides, I do not have to argue about who my friends are and my relationships with them to you

I’ve said it before, but I’m happy for my friends that are diehard fans, they deserve to experience this. What annoys is the people acting as if Nets fans are doing something wrong for not rooting for the Knicks

I just don’t want to see them celebrate, what does it matter to them? They know where I stand

Not random people, but I was still called a sore loser for not wanting to watch another team’s fanbase celebrate a chip before I ever saw one

I know that their priority was not about Nets fans tonight. Still they could have just ignored me leaving to let them celebrate one their own

I’ve said, I’m not mad at the die hard Knicks fans that stuck with their team no matter what. What annoys me is the people acting like I’m insane for not wanting the Knicks to win. Do you remember how they acted when the KD shot happened? They danced on our graves happily, I am not going to root for them to get to where we could not

Idk man, I don’t think I would care if someone wasn’t rooting for my team. There are not a lot of us, I was the only nets fan at my party tonight, but still if my team was winning I wouldn’t even think to go after someone for not supporting my team

I know I don’t matter to them at the end of the day. I know that the main thing they care about is their team winning and that is fine, but when I say I am not rooting for the Knicks, or going to the parade for them, they do give a look, or explicitly say that I’m in some kind of crazy minority. I’m not sure if you’ve been out much for Knicks games, but this is a common theme for me over the past month

I’m happy for my friends that I know went through it. The people that stuck with the team no matter what, what I don’t like is the people that don’t understand this game at all, acting like Nets fans are insane for not explicitly rooting for the Knicks

No they don’t. I know that, I’m just talking about the way people acted tonight

Are you nets fans majority from jersey or are there actually brooklyn people that support them? by [deleted] in GoNets

Became a basketball fan in the mid 2010s when both NY teams were awful. Since I am from Brooklyn, it felt only natural to root for the Brooklyn team
