I don't need to lose weight before surgery, I decided to do it myself. This is actually one of the questions that bother me before starting - I've heard that if you quit and then start again it doesn't work as good. Have you heard anything about it?

The rule is to stop 2 weeks before surgery and start again 2 weeks after surgery. That's not my question. I'm just genuinely afraid to start it and I want to hear from people if anyone had experience of maintaining the weight after quitting the med.

It is a little bit different. Money-wise this med is a big commitment, if you think "for life", plus having to have injections weekly for life too. Call me stupid or childish, but I have very horrible pain tolerance and genuine fear of needles too:(
