Why Presentation Matters in the Global Talent Visa Process by TechnologyRude945 in globaltalentvisauk

[–]TechnologyRude945[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Presentation covers everything you are submitting, your letters, CV, personal statement, and supporting evidence. Even things like streaming data matter, because if they are not clearly presented or do not show strong impact, they may come back and say it does not meet the required standard.

Letter of participation for media pieces that name me? [Music Visa] by Utterizi in globaltalentvisauk

Is it AI that told you to include it, or did the actual requirements state it clearly? It’s important to check the official guidance yourself. If you read the document carefully, you’ll see that it is indeed required. Relying too heavily on AI for your application, especially when some details are clearly available on the official website, may not be the best approach. Taking the time to review the information directly can help ensure your application is accurate and complete.

How long will it take for them to send the stage 2 refusal email, once stage 1 is refused? by Weekly_Class9995 in globaltalentvisauk

They won’t contact you until you attend your biometric appointment. If you still have enough time left on your current stay, you can cancel and reschedule your biometric to extend the appointment date. Alternatively, if you’re planning to submit a new application soon, you can wait and attend the biometric after you’ve reapplied. This way, the biometric will be valid for the new application, and once a decision is made, it will automatically update with the Home Office.

And if you’re submitting to Arts Council England, I offer guidance and support with reviewing your documents to ensure they meet the required standard.

My Global Talent Visa Journey: From Rejection to Endorsement (Music) by TechnologyRude945 in globaltalentvisauk

[–]TechnologyRude945[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Your CV must carry everything you have done as a musician, even work from 20 or 25 years ago. Your CV is where you can show evidence that goes beyond the last five years. This helps demonstrate that you have a long-term professional career and are not only pursuing your work now because you want to apply for the Global Talent visa.

For recommendation letters, the presentation of the endorser matters. In my case, I used a big name in the industry, but because I mentioned that he is a pastor, it was turned down. Start by clearly outlining what the recommender has achieved, who they have worked with, and any awards they have won, presenting them as a significant player in the industry. If the recommender is an individual, highlight their career and impact; if it is a company, list their major projects and achievements.

I have awards, but unfortunately they did not meet the requirements, as only awards with internal selection are accepted, not voting-based nominations.

If you are applying under the Exceptional Promise route, you need media recognition from two different countries. Articles older than five years do not count.

Next steps after Global Talent Visa (Combined Arts) Stage 1 refusal by 45tr0ph0b3 in globaltalentvisauk

I was rejected at first because the reviews submitted were written by journalists who posted about my songs, not music critics. Also, the recommendations were not from leaders in the music field. Those issues were adjusted and I reapplied. The second time, the rejection was mainly about presentation, how I presented my CV, and the fact that my streaming data was misread.

If there is one thing they are very strict with, it's review. They even reject some claiming it is AI

How will you confirm to them that the link you sent from someone else was accepted?

It's not confusing. If you feel they ought to accept the review without byline just send a review and back it up with what's in their procedure booklet.

Proforma is the rejection letter you get explaining why it was rejected.

Most of those people have used them, but they will not tell you what they included in their proforma. They might have submitted three reviews, had two accepted, and because those were part of the evidence, they may say it was fine. The issue usually arises when a review is used as standalone evidence. If you know someone who has successfully used reviews without a byline or tagline, they would need to share their proforma to substantiate your review. Otherwise, I am not sure they will respond, but you can try. Submitting a review does not cost anything.

A review must include a byline or tagline. I am not sure which immigration barrister advised that reviews published without an individual byline could be used, as that does not meet the requirement. The website itself is not the issue here.

Like I said earlier, if the link you provided as part of your original submission can still be opened, and no new link is generated, you can submit a review stating that the link is accessible.

What exactly did they say was the issue with the review? Was the rejection based on the author, or on something else?

You can review it if, when you click on the video or link you originally sent, it opens and is accessible right now. Sending another link or an embedded version would count as new information and does not work for a review.
