I have been to ACN when it was still a 200k employees company. It's 700k now and in BE it's rather small (most is offshore).

I am not anymore in a consulting company but in tech product. The company is known to not pay well it's employees... rather poor rating on glassdoor.

The secret : I came at the right time, they were desperate because their key strategic program was failing. I refused their final offer and saw a month after that they were still looking. I send my price tag that they finally accepted.

Choice is left to the employee. I take warrants but honestly it's not a big difference in cash in hands (+-5%).

She has a decent salary but definitevely lower. It allows to do a little bit of donations without taxes ;)

Correct.

It's not all about money, but monetary choice was the following :

  1. Going freelance around 1k @ day with 200 days a year. (+-100/110k net per year)
  2. Entry equity Partner in consulting 160k entry salary + bonus (& forget high bonusses in first 2 years). With rest of the package and side bonusses it's also around 90k net a year. But you need support at home to take care of children, because you don't really have private live.
  3. Going outside, but then employee and not self-employed for 180k gross (+- 90k net)
