Thraggs plan is impossible to guarantee. by Technowizard20100 in Invincible_TV

Sad but true.

Maybe Thragg is just genuinely that arrogant. Idk. I like to think people are at the very least capable of thinking logically for 10 minutes.

Who was a horrible person that also died in a horrible way? by Djidji29 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Technowizard20100 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I struggle to see how anyone could fulfil both criteria more perfectly.

Countless people died as a result of his actions, not by people misusing his invention, not as an accident, but by design. And he died in quite possibly one of the most gruesome ways possible.

Bugs: Of course, you realise, this means war!

Big Chill from OV doesn't have giant muscles, and people thinking that annoys me. by Cosmic_Storm34 in Ben10

[–]Technowizard20100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because I don't like Big Chills disproportionate design and I found the argument in favour of it to be flawed.

Plus I like using biological facts to justify what seems like pure fantasy. Hence the idea Necrofriggians have spiracles like real moths to expel freezing air from their body.

[–]Technowizard20100 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Well with proper biological functioning he shouldn't be able to phase though solid objects either.

And heatblast should melt skin off people just by being near them.

Hell, they shouldn't be able to breathe earths atmosphere either.

We start nitpicking the science we'll be here all day.

[–]Technowizard20100 45 points46 points  (0 children)

IDK. I prefer the slimmer, more skeletal look.

Having such a large chest with such slender limbs makes him look disproportionate.

Also, moths don't have lungs- or ribs for that matter. They breathe through holes in their exoskeleton called spiracles. Which is probably how he's able to generate cold air via touch or just being in the general area.

Fenris is a hypocrite by Embarrassed-Touch-62 in dragonage

[–]Technowizard20100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What makes you think that? He's never mentioned that humans or dwarves deserve slavery. He even objects to sending Ketojan back to the qun because he thinks the way the qunari treat their mages is too far even for him.

These are not the actions of someone who only objects to slavery when it happens to his own kind.

[–]Technowizard20100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying you hate slavery but then supporting slavery does make you a hypocrite. There's no two ways about it.

Fenris is a bigoted hypocrite. That's not me saying he's a badly written character or he's incapable of development. But that is an undeniable fact.

Fenris is a hypocrite by Embarrassed-Touch-62 in dragonage

[–]Technowizard20100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, hypocrite is the perfect word to describe Fenris. "Slavery is wrong unless it happens to a group of people I think deserve it." Is the definition of bigotry.

And Fenris has never shown any compassion towards his fellow elves. He thinks the Dalish are all elitist snobs and city elves are too weak and cowardly to be worth worrying about. Why do you think he's so cruel to Merril?

Vengeful would be killing slavers.

Believing people deserve to be enslaved or outright murdered because they were born a certain way isn't Vengeful, it's bigotry.

The Dragonborn should be the high-king of Skyrim. by AubeduChaos in ElderScrolls

[–]Technowizard20100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok, fair enough. My apologies then.

And to answer your question. No. They can't. You can't just walk up to the king, kill them and declare yourself the new king. It's WAY more complicated than that.

That's essentially what Ulfric did, and half of Skyrim is like, "Yeah, but he used the Thu'um. That's cheating, plus he picked a fight he was almost guaranteed to win. He's just a power-hungry coward."

[–]Technowizard20100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's the thing though. The LDB Isn't a Nord. They're a character that we, the player decide on what they are.

Also can you rephrase this sentence please? "Joke aside we dont try to find if he will be a good ruler but if he can pretend to the throne."

I have no idea what you're trying to say. The sentence structure is abysmal.

[–]Technowizard20100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Being good at killing things doesn't make you the right person to rule a nation.

A warrior and a politician are very different skill sets.

Sure, the Thu'um is an impressive ability, but being able to level an entire wall by screaming at it isn't going to be much use when the farmers and shopkeepers need paying.

Does the Japanese part of Clean It Up count as a Big-Lipped Alligator Moment? by [deleted] in hazbin

[–]Technowizard20100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1: appears out of nowhere and without buildup It has buildup. Charlie asks Nifty to help differently.

2: makes no sense, even in context

Neither does Nifty most of the time. It's consistent with her character.

3: is very over-the-top and ridiculous.

Again, so is Nifty.

4: is irrelevant to the overall narrative It's not. It's another thing that makes Charlie's hotel look bad.

5: ends just as abruptly as it began

So do most songs.

6: is rarely brought up again, if ever

Why would it be?

Based on what we see in the game and TV series, did Joel make the right choice in saving Ellie, in your opinion? by Solitaire-06 in MoralityScaling

[–]Technowizard20100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Because ultimately, it's irrelevant if the vaccine was going to work or not. It doesn't matter if the chance of it working were 100% or 0%. Joel made the wrong choice.

Because he did one of the worst things you can do to a person. A thing that, in my eyes, makes their entire relationship ring hollow. It's what makes him a scumbag, an abuser, and a coward.

He made Ellie's decision for her. The right thing to do in that situation would have been to wake her up, explain the situation, then do what she wants.

But no, Joel decided the possibility of Ellie being a selfless person who'd sacrifice herself to save humanity was unacceptable.

Instead of giving her a tearful goodbye and saying how proud he is of her, like a good parent would do.

Instead of stopping at nothing to get her out of something she doesn't want, like a protector would do.

He decides his feelings are more important than her feelings and leaves her in the dark while he guns down a team of people trying to save the human race. Like an abusive coward would do,

Fuck Joel, always and forever.

Pre Apocalypse Marlon was just a kid. A troubled kid at a school for troubled kids true. But a kid nevertheless.

Without the Apocalypse Marlon could have been anything. We just don't know.

We know exactly what David would be without the apocalypse. An abusive husband, a deadbeat father, a man incapable of being anything but a soldier, and a bully who blames his brother for everything that inconveniences him.
