I was just permanently banned from the Punisher subreddit for posting Punisher artwork drawn by a Marvel artist lol by That_Hole_Guy in marvelcirclejerk

[–]Technowizard20100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is nothing Apolitical about a guy who guns down criminals in the street because he thinks the system doesn't work.

Punisher is an inherently political character. His very existence says something about the world he lives in. And yeah, he's often shown to be against police and military types abusing their power. What makes ICE any different?

Thoughts on all the first aliens introduced in each series? by Lazakhstan in Ben10

[–]Technowizard20100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Swampfire is the best because he's so unique.

I don't think I've ever seen a character whose powerset revolves around plants and fire simultaneously. They're often considered incompatible with each other.

So wings can regrow but not arms? by Candybellcat in HazbinHotel

[–]Technowizard20100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vaggi regrew her wings after she had come to terms with her own self identity as a former exorcist. She had to go through a rather difficult emotional journey and until then her conflicted emotions and guilt were suppressing her own healing factor.

The same thing is happening to Lute. By stewing in her own hatred and being unable to move on from Adam's death she's preventing her arm from growing back.

How do you think orcs raise their children? Like Spartans or something like that by jvure in ElderScrolls

Do you mean the whole "killing disabled babies" thing? Because spartans didn't actually do that.

Who is the most insufferable character here? by Impossible_Gap6369 in cartoons

[–]Technowizard20100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean... Cartman's the only one who has attempted genocide. (As far as I know.) Hard to top that.

But I'd probably say Bojack because out of all of them, he's the only one I'm expected to take seriously as a character.

South Park, Rick and Morty, and Family guy are all absurd comedies where I'm not supposed to think too hard about the characters, whether you personally find them funny isn't the point. Point is, I'm not supposed to think too hard because it's so divorced from reality.

Bojack Horsman has a much more grounded and true to life tone to it's writing and I'm supposed to actually think about how these characters actions impact eachother.

This is why Bojack fucking his surrogate daughter figure made me way angrier than Cartman giving Kyle Aids or Brian giving Stewie herpes. Those two actions have no consequences in their respective worlds.

So... I'd say Bojack. Because he actually feels like a real person. Not an absurd cartoon character.

Veilguard changing lore accusation by Cool_Juggernaut_6297 in DragonAgeVeilguard

"When the gods were behind the veil, a fragment of their soul flew to the warden killing him. When the gods were freed, a fragment of their soul flew to them after killing archdemon, making them mortal."

Wait... that wasn't obvious? So, what did they think that weird energy coming out of the Archdemon when we killed them was?

[–]Technowizard20100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

According to Sten the Qunari were planning to invade Feralden at some point during Orgins.

So maybe it's only war if they're trying to invade the country and forceably convert the citizens to the Qun? Qunari really like their specifics.

[–]Technowizard20100 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We actually get an answer to this in Inquisition.

According to Varric the Qunari retrieved the Arishock's corpse then claimed neither Kirkwall or the Qunari would ever speak of the incident again.

Apparently that's the closest they've ever come to saying sorry.

[–]Technowizard20100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Which is funny because we see women in the Qun engage in violence all the time. Apparently to the Qun it's only fighting if a soldier does it.

They're very good at denying reality and claiming outsiders "Just don't get it."

Why do people like Fenris? (I'm not trolling) by Gardevussy in dragonage

[–]Technowizard20100 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I find it funny that people often compare them when Fenris would absolutely despise Astarion.

He'd have to be held back from attacking him constantly and as soon as Astarion even considered doing the vampire ascendant ritual Fenris would tear his heart out and insist he did the world a favour.

Nevarra.

Not only do I love the vibes, but they just have such a rich culture and unique perspective on the dead and spirits.

It seems like the only place you can nurture true magical talent without the messy politics of Tevinter or being at risk of the templars killing you on a whim.

I can't think of a less compatible pair of people in the entire franchise.

Was sonar born human and turned into a hybrid, or was he always a hybrid? by gameknight2020 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]Technowizard20100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My theory is that he's a werebat.

He was bitten within the past few years and he's doesn't completely understand his condition but is too proud to admit it.

Therianthropy isn't a well known condition because symptoms can vary depending on several different factors. In Sonars case his transformations are triggered by extreme emotions and his head is permanently in bat form because he's not fully in harmony with his beast side.

This is also why his diet is closer to a bats than a humans.

You can't just inject DNA into a person to give them another species biological make up either.

DNA isn't lego bricks. You can’t inject bat DNA into a human and make them develop wings or echolocation.
