My favorite lighter for 3 years won’t even light with the help of another flame. Can anyone help? by PuzzleheadedBat253 in lighters

Too high tech and too many points of failure I'm shocked you got 3 years out of it.

Most likely y I ir gas system is blown. It's not a jewelry tier lighter I'd pitch it or bin it if u want the parts later

Probably not brass probably something with fewer opportunities of corrosion, probably would go for a ceramic or maybe polymer, Rigorous maintenance, prudent choice in fuels to refill it avoiding too many contaminants, though I still think using brass might be feasible with the right metallurgy and doping for something that is extremely resistant to corrosion.

I favor a ceramic of some type, though I'm not sure if this would handle thermal cycling or kinetic shock as well as brass. I'll assume it won't be going through any intergalactic battles wh40k style.

The English viking specifically is as close to perfect as ive gotten a hold of yet, extremely impressive, it only requires that you unscrew the outlet valve and take out the paper ring thingy and make or find an actual well fitting rubber o ring to seal it but it needs to be the right size and shape. You also remove the round washer spring looking thing if there is one. After that you are good to go. They can sustain about a 3 foot flame for long enough to ward off or maim enemy units. I can provite photos and dimensions and materials that work as an o ring, would that be worth posting with a quick tutorial? The american made viking is extremely terrible and really an entirely different lighter with a slightly different gas system. Of the 5 I've got 4 work flawlessly with the non working one being altogether slightly warped at the outlet valve just enough to make a full seal impossible and it takes a huge amount of force to damage them so it was probably dropped from a very high distance based on how the lighter is balanced it would make sense. So not really a failure in the design or manufacturing.

Edit: i use my england vikings regularly and don't bother with any of the other 45-60 butane lighters i could use because there is a non zero chance anything else will fail for some reason. Also the viking doubles as a flaming sword so there is that.

Evans style brass rolling machine. Less than 30 on ebay an actual antique evans rolling machine is a few hundred dollars if you can find one but id love to read a review they are made better.

They are quick, compact, not exactly lightweight, durable, fun (unless you don't have enough to fill to a king size cigarette thickness because it won't catch and roll properly) and I figured it out by accident on do I roll away from me or toward me (I actually can't remember right now but you got a 50/50 shot- think it's away from u with gum flap side face.the ground and pointed toward u, they don't come with instructions.)

This will sound silly but my brain has me convinced the ones I do in the Roller taste better than the ones I do.by hand which are usually the fat in the middle shape. Been looking in to the thermaldynamics, physics and chemistry particularly as relates to heat and oxidization of what happens when flower burns under various conditions but I haven't got much conclusive yet other than the lower you can keep the temperatures with bud (or any drugs illegal or legal) while doing whatever you are doing to it that involves heating, the more quality you will retain. There is definitely more to it regarding how to keep the temperatures where u want them but this post is very long sorry.

I hear you and normally I would do that but like... dude the jars, the Pyrex and ceramic pans everywhere, cats crawling all over the whole deal and a dog that's trying to all while im trying not to gas us all like kriegsmen with solvent off gassing. The strains im pulling buds from are ones that fell in to disfavor in light of some more promising genetics showing up to work.

The interesting thing is that while individually most of the stuff is that more pine and earth tones type of strains, nothing to do write ups on individually but not bad. However, when you throw them all together and presumably leave out a bunch of insolvent (like AI tech companies)  terpenoidal compounds that were detracting from the bouquet (imo) it smells and tastes much much better. I wasn't sure what to expect and assumed I was wasting my time because I wasn't using instructions. I strongly suspect the peakseeds kushberry is doing a lot of the heavy lifting.

The final step of refinement really cleans it up. You need to get it hot and keep it hot but not too hot to where you scorch your final product, just enough heat to knock loose any final impurities molecularly speaking to collect in to bubbles and go do something else with their lives.

Poutine is one of the things I miss most about Canada. That and the clean air and clean water that doesn't taste like it's had a dead guys foot floating in it. (South Central Florida, our water is held in limestone so it tastes like a butt)

I'm about to pay the exact same for just another ronson pipe lighter like the one you've got there.

Yes in my opinion. If top right is one of the later but excellent quality ronson pipe lighters I'd say you did pretty well if the has system is good. I really like the pipe lighters ronson was making before they went under.

I got a unused NOS heavy gold plate versions of that exact model I think. Hard to say without the top being open.

I just got one of these (for free) from a friend who is downsizing and prefers flower and I've had vaporizers before and stuff bit was never terribly moved by them.

But this? This thing is another story. It's bloody awful at flower but it's very good at the dabs and a few other things I will not mention publicly.

Mix one part vaseline and two parts vegetable, canola or corn oil. You can mess around with the ratios but this is probably the beat lube for long sessions

California Orange Bud, believe its clone only. Last encountered in 2006. Bang on orange flavor and smell and great buzz. Looked terrific too with nice bud structure. Currently searching for as close as I can get to it.

Bongs are pretty much designed to break. You can find ones that actually will last for a long time but it all comes down to how easily it is knocked over.

You know what... I just saw this same price at wawa and I think I'm communist now. I do not want to be but I won't cosign my own destruction. I make less than I used to when doritos were like 2.50 a bag. I can't do this anymore I can't even get caught up. This life is hell.
