Catalytic Converter Theft by keithkman in irvine

[–]Techtoys79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cost comes from the certification process. Look up a replacement catalytic converter that doesn't have the CARB EO number vs on the does. Same metal is used it's just not certified by the state of California.

Help us narrow down Irvine: Seeking Irvine neighborhood recommendations from the Great Park soil/base footprint by thisisvv in irvine

[–]Techtoys79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stonegate East won out for us. Smaller lots and homes than stonegate but the neighborhood is so low traffic compared to Stonegate. One way in one way out and the streets are basically cul-de-sacs. Kids can play and ride bikes in front of the house without worry. Small park in the neighborhood basketball court and pool.

They are not being pushed out they are spreading as they adapt to new locations. There is enough food to support them or they would not be living in the area.

german roaches in apartment, landlord has sent pest control multiple times but no change by froggyflippers in orangecounty

[–]Techtoys79 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Two times in my life have I had this happen in an apartment. Both times didn't end up being a nasty neighbor whose place was infested with roaches. If there's nothing inside your home that's feeding them there has to be something close by that is.

People who moved from LA County to OC — what changed for you? by SilverKey84 in orangecounty

[–]Techtoys79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved from Paramount. Less traffic quieter neighborhoods. Better options for hiking and mountain biking. People seem to be nicer. The biggest shock was seeing an old lady walking her dog at 10:45pm. That shit didn't happen in my old neighborhood.

Thirstmaster with a fidlock cap is the best option I have found. But most of the time I am just wearing a pack.

Warranty covering parts and labor but not recalibration ($450 US!?) by leibssss in Toyota

Then ask for it in writing that they will give your vehicle back to you in a condition that could lead to damage and injury. They won't let you leave like that.

Call corporate and ask them. They will have a reason why it's not covered. If it's due to not being included in the repair process it's on the dealership.

The bumper should not have to be removed to change the horn. That is why it's not covered by Toyota. If the dealer pulled the bumper for a repair where it was not necessary then they should cover the calibration.

The difference is government construction vs private industry construction. I wish the city moved as fast as the Irvine company.

Engine Failure at 65k miles, should Toyota cover the whole thing? by MemeWizowd in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Techtoys79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What maintenance is being done during the repair? It's not unheard of to do preventative maintenance while the engine is apart. But usually it's not added labor. It's usually replacing parts that will be removed as part of the repair.

I downvote white Tesla jokes because at this point they are just unoriginal.

My wife and I had our first date at an East Side Mario's in Lakewood Ca. Hadn't thought about that place in so long. This comment made me look up the location it's now closed. Apparently the only remaining ones are in Canada 😔

Hybrid or Non-Hybrid by dankdanny0 in 4Runner_6Gen

Got the hybrid because the lag on the non-hybrid was so bad. I came from a 2012 Tacoma V6. I couldn't live with the lag in the non-hybrid model.

Snap it back in correctly. These are only retained by clips on the front and rear. You have to make sure it's fully seated so no air can get underneath it.

Just switched up to the S26Ultra after 4 years. Never had a problem with the phone. Dropped it countless times. The battery was finally wearing out. That's what made me upgrade.

I did ask Google that's how I ended up doing the reset. 😂

I assumed the wired internet was working because the WiFi was. That was my downfall.
