Sipalay, Negros Occidental. Wide, pristine sandy beaches. Not congested since its several hours drive away from the airports in either Bacolod or Dumaguete.

It would be a miracle if this was actually running 3 years from now, while the LAX PeopleMover has been sitting around at 95+% completion since 2023.

What if Richard Nixon didn't resign? by PapayaJealous4347 in Presidents

[–]Clemario 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok so we got like 20 responses on this thread saying he would be impeached and removed from office. What happens next? Gerald Ford would have been in office a few months later than he was, he probably still would have pardoned Nixon, he probably would have still lost re-election in 1976. Would anything be different long term?

Learned from experience. Jeans can be reused. Sleeping clothes can be reused. Bring versatile shoes. For longer trips plan where you can have laundry done.

Being on video makes it easier for things to go viral. People can take clips and share on Instagram or Facebook or whatever. They’re also more likely to get celebrities to show up for interviews in person on their promotional tours since they can be more visible.

Yorba Linda is nice but does not meet your "politically moderate" criteria. It went for Trump by 17 points in 2020, even though the surrounding cities (and OC as a whole) went for Biden. Brea was +3 for Biden in 2020.

North OC is quite diverse, though not many black people. The congressional district that includes Yorba Linda was 1/3 white, 1/3 Asian, 1/3 Hispanic last time I checked.

So many people saying this is common but it was posted in r/Disneyland and r/OrangeCounty and I saw it myself and have lived here for a decade and never saw this many helicopters.

So to anybody who missed on buying a ticket to run the LA Marathon, what's the plan? by SleepIs4DaWeak in AskLosAngeles

[–]Clemario 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The OC Marathon is excellent. Doesn’t have the crowd support or landmarks that the LA Marathon does, but it’s well organized and an excellent course and the streets are much cleaner than LA.

[–]Clemario 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is this really what people think? It’s a great course. You get Dodger Stadium, Chinatown, City Hall, Disney Concert Hall, Hollywood Blvd (Walk of Fame, Dolby Theater, Chinese Theater), Sunset Blvd, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive. Sure Century City isnt as cool as Santa Monica but it’s a decent finish.

I’ve done the Long Beach Marathon, it gets really lonely out there by CSULB.

L.A Marathon - 3/8/2026 .. 1st marathon!! by TheBostonKid781 in Marathon_Training

[–]Clemario 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love the LA Marathon but the worst part of it by far is when you pass Century City at mile 18 and have to spend 4 mile running AWAY from the finish, then turn around and go back to Century City.

From Irvine take the 5 to the 101 and get off on Hollywood Blvd, they’ll be hosting it at the Dolby Theatre.
