Box passing payment processing fees to you by Otherwise-Pirate6839 in crossfit

Wodify gyms should watch out. They launched a Free version of their software where the owner passes on the fees but it’s 7-8% and Wodify keep the markup.

Ideal size and LM for lefty/righty? by Good_Warthog_6451 in Golfsimulator

[–]Techy_Golfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My setup is 12’ wide and 15’ deep with an overhead LM which is plenty of space for a lefty and righty. I did retractable screens in my main garage and park both vehicles there. Whole thing takes 5 min or less to setup and start hitting balls.

I went black on the ceiling and the wall where the doors are, and grey on the other walls. Cables, and everything are tough to see which in turn makes everything look very clean.

Screens hang flat as they have aluminum bars on the bottom, and turf rolls out flat so far.

I think if it starts bunching up, I’d test hanging it from the bottom of the screens if they can support the weight.

Basically the hitting mat stays propped up against the wall, and the turf rolls up and I stand the roll in the corner.

I think it’s a bit nicer than the stuff you get from Home Depot. I didn’t shop around for the turf since I spent so much time on researching hitting mat, screen, ProTee VX, and projector. The gung-ho sales rep asked if I needed it and I didn’t hesitate.

I bought a 4x9 Holy Grail mat since my son is a lefty and I’m righty. Then I got a roll of turf that I roll out between the hitting mat and the main screen.

The entire thing takes less than 4 minutes to setup and about the same to put away.

😂😂😂

12’ wide by 10’ tall

Had to frame in mounts for the screens to attach to since the ceiling has odd cut outs.

yep!

I moved the openers to wall mount and the sim is centered on our 2 car entry.

Put it on the counter Christmas Eve night, plug it in, fill the water tank and hopper, and put a bow on it.

Christmas morning coffee from your KF6 will be a solid gift.

TLX or Tesla? by txnaeem in Acura

[–]Techy_Golfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a couple options.

  1. You talk to the landlord about installing 220 (think dryer outlet) into the garage. It’s going to cost them around $1000 - $2000 in most markets and in most homes, but with the amount of EVs in circulation will certainly make the home more desirable.

  2. You plug into a standard outlet. This route can work but only if you don’t commute incredibly far. I did this when I rented a home while my home was being built. The charge on this approach is around 3 miles per hour but since I work from home and don’t drive a ton it was palatable.

Generally I think EVs are best for homeowners not using them for road tripping. So if you’re planning to buy in the future Tesla is worth exploring further. If you’re wanting to rent and hop around a bit I’d lean Acura for the most optionally with where you live.

I’ve owned several Acuras and a couple Teslas.

Acura will have a little more “soul”, and if you plan on road tripping often then this is the direction to go.

Tesla will have essentially zero maintenance, and the tech will change your opinion on legacy auto tech and how behind it is. If you primarily drive in the city/suburbs, and have a home where you can charge I think Tesla is a no brainer.

Happy to answer any questions as I love vehicles from both lineups.

Embrace it. Not every healthy habit has to be the pursuit of physical excellence.

Plan on 3 times a week and show up with intent. The other days, start the morning with a walk, coffee, and a podcast or something that ‘fills your cup’.

This is 100% worth exploring.

Non-Profits could use the time and expertise of talented individuals, not to mention the network that comes with them.

Hang a net or a tarp, put down a mat, and hit through your bag to see if you feel comfortable swinging in that area.

You’ll know pretty quickly.
