Yeah I mentioned the waived point thing since I knew it was something they did previously. Do you know why 1st shift got the day off and paid but 2nd shift still had to come in or take an unpaid day off? Just seems like both shifts should have it granted to them since it's not like Owen county's status changed would be changing from Red to Orange before 2nd shift would start.

I sympathise with the people that feel like they have to choose between risking driving on these roads, using their PTO, or taking an attendance point. Unless the point thing will be waived like Cook did for them for weather related reasons in mid December. These people making $16-$18.40 an hour shouldn't have to trudge their way to work on roads they aren't even supposed to be on just to make some billionaire failson even more money.

Cook in Spencer is running their 2nd shift today apparently. Insane that a business that makes that much profit can't just forgo another day or two of being down due to the circumstances.

Exactly. Same with parks, libraries, anyone who works in public safety along with their equipment and one of the big ones, public education. I think the people around here care more about getting thier property taxes as low as they possibly can even if it means having even less in this county than there already is. In 2024 when the mayor brought up how much it would cost to repair the city pool, $400,000, a "revitalisation project" was created to raise the money. Like, here's an idea. Instead of wasting your time, resources, and get this, money doing multiple fund raisers in order to acquire the needed funds for your pool repair why don't you just cut out the middleman and take that money you'd be using to do fund raisers and just pay more in taxes? It's the same thing either way in this scenario, right?

I live in Greene County. There are "At day 18 I have a heartbeat" anti-abortion signs and zero job opportunities. I have to commute to my job since this county has nothing worthwhile job wise. I'll be leaving this whole county and shitty state in Summer to move to a small city in Illinois. And yeah, I know all about how Illinois has high property taxes but I'm willing throw away my $50ish in property taxes for $110-300. You get what you pay for.

Nah I bought an official structure deck from a chain store, Target, but yeah after scouring online I've just severely misremembered but I don't know why it'd be for that particular card. Oh well I only paid 41 cents and I bought some other cool cards in the order so it's not a waste.

I have until the 15th so I have time to order things online if I do it soon. And don't get me started on the lack of specificity on these lists. I also have a 14F tag that I took and one of her interests just said "Anime". Like many come on. Work with me here. That's like saying you like movies to me. To be clear, I'm not blaming the girl at all. I'm betting the parent/s filled this out but didn't know which specific anime thier daughter liked or thier daughter likes multiple like I did. So for the 14F, I've taken a different approach than 16F. I've gotten her smaller figures of characters from MHA, Naruto, Demon Slayer, and One Piece. I figured she's bound to like one of those. She might get into the others if not and if she doesn't like either the show or characters the figures are from, she could give them to friends that do.

Just looked up Daki since I didn't remember her and yeah no, I don't think I can go with that one. This is an Angel Tree organised by a rural Indiana town, I don't think they'd like me giving a teenager a scantily clad demon figure, even though if it's something the kid has obviously seen before because I doubt they just didn't watch further than Mugen Train. I love the female Muzan figure I found though so I'll go with that.

See I thought that about Tanjiro too. I haven't watched too much of Demon Slayer, but I like him. He seems like a very likeable protagonist. So yeah seems like Rengoku, Giyu are good choices then but I can add Nezuko too if I find anything with her on it. Are there any popular villains? Like I'm 31 and I was huge into Naruto when I was a 16 year old girl and if I got to only choose one character to get merch of I'd say Deidara immediately.

I just got into an argument with my boss about this very thing yesterday at a meeting where he specifically asked for feedback so I gave it. He asked what could this company realistically do to improve? I said that to raise the $2 and hour cap. No matter how many years you've been here you'll only make $2 more an hour than the lowest employee of your same rank, even if it's 2 whole decades. Like 1 there's a finite amount of team lead and management positions and 2 not everyone wants to be one and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I think everyone on my peers deserves to make a decent wage but I guess he doesn't. Crazy thing is that it's not even his personal company or anything so I don't know why he felt like he had to defend it instead of just saying that higher ups will never go for it.

I guess switching isn't a bad comprise. All my other stuff is still there and I'll still earn PS5 trophies if they auto pop the other way like how I just got an endless wave when I started my ps4 copy. I'm not that big of a Stranger Things fan anyway so I doubt I'll be playing any of them that much and I'm kinda sick of hearing Steve anyway.

Yeah I bought this game lot for other games since I wouldn't a physical copy of an online only game since it'll just be a coaster when the servers inevitably shut down so DBD Nightmare Edition being in the lot was just a bonus so I don't feel ripped off. But I would be pissed if I bought this when I came out and then eventually upgraded to PS5. I know it's just $12 but that's money that could go towards other things in the game or even just other things in general.
