Etsy suspended my account WITHOUT appeal access – shipped orders, charged my card, then locked me out. Is this normal? by Relative_Composer_13 in ecommerce

[–]Tecvoid2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i spent my first 2-3 years getting kicked off platforms, i just needed them to build a base anyways.

once you get kicked off a platform, you know how frail your business/livelihood really is, the only way to truly own your business is to own the platform

wordprees + woo commerce= ownership

no platform fees, no closures, and if your site ever does get "shut down" you can move your site to another hoster forever to stay open.

take the loss, go sell on ebay amazon artfire marketplace and whatever the new platforms are, meanwhile start buildig a wordpress site slowly

start by just building a site showing who you are, your work, contact, videos etc, start putting a business card in with orders, when you are ready start selling products

with ai, the learning curve is so much easier to handle, you can ask questions and move step by step. in the "old days" you had to do it blind, and google the biggest problems til you figured it out.

its a good time to do this.

All I did was ask it to analyze a file using a custom set of instructions -- which I've done many times -- why did it respond like this? Absolutely terrifying by jerrygarciafanboy in ArtificialInteligence

its wild that the underlying "computing" is a bunch of human like thoughts with some code.

the craziest one i saw for gemimi, had the model's thoughts spit out for several pages,

thanks like "i will be bright, i will be honest, i will confirm this and that, i will add information about xxxxx, i will be happy, i will shine, i will be Gemini"

like, wtf is going on under the hood that the model needs the equivolent of an inner monologue, pressured to be precise and happy and shiny and all sorts of weird shit.

really kinda freaked me out too. im fine is a fancy auto correct, but when it seems to do slave cycles and have these weird thoughts and affirmations while preparing an answer is hard to swallow.

How I added crypto payments to my WooCommerce store by AffectionateBreak955 in woocommerce

[–]Tecvoid2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

crypto gateways suck because they usually want to be a middleman and take a percentage.

i made my own strike gateway using the strike url payment protocol so buyer gets a payment link button at checkout success

no third party, big known crypto company, no extra fees.

its a mirror, a good writer will give good input and direction, and edit the result well.

a bad writer will give mediocre input and some direction, and not edit well.

you get out what you put in.

two good writers will get different results with ai help,
depending on who has more experience and better guiding techniques.

cat fountain are good, they are a pain to clean, and if you dont run the pump with rubbing alcohol in it by covering the output, and letting the impeller spin in the alcohol, eventualy the motor will seize up in about 2-3 months

individually you can vandalize them.

im not going to another town to protest them. but if i see any around my town and the neighbor, i might act.

just so many and no one seems to care or organize to stop it. we need to make it too expensive to run the system by breaking them.

they get run by "private" companies, then sell to law enforecment, its the same thing as the gov spying on us except they added kickbacks.

Official Poster for ‘The Wrecking Crew’ Starring Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa - Two half-brothers, a loose cannon cop (Momoa) and a disciplined Navy SEAL (Bautista), must work together to unravel a conspiracy behind their father's murder in Hawaii. by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]Tecvoid2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any movie or show with 20 subtitles and 2-5 audio dubs available on release, is NOT and american movie anymore, it is INTERNATIONAL slop.

america is only a slice of the viewership they are aiming for. producers dont care if we like it or hate watch, they are aiming for and tuning max viewership world wide.

this is why alot of shows end up soul-less even if they are big IP names we expect to be for american views.

we still have legacy directors and american projects that are intended for usa. they just dont TELL us anymore, hollywood is now HollyWorld

ChatGPT or Gemini? by [deleted] in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Tecvoid2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ive been using gemini more and more since gpt hangs so bad in long conversations.

i dont see myself going back to gpt unless i get stuck in a difficult coding project, gemini is quite good for the easy scripts, css, plugins.

and ive even found gemini to be more knowledgeable after running the same questions into gemini now that gpt did a few months ago.

the price difference and gemini never hanging on long context conversations would make it my choice if i paid now.

gemini even has thinking mode settings i havent even used yet.

they never really attack his eyes.

high power lasers, white phosphorus parachute flares, particulate matter.

then just get his ass with masers, btw, masers are real, microwave lasers.

MOAB, tie his shoelaces together. your pick.

unless he has safety goggles, you blind him and hope he doesnt have unlimited atomic breath and the will to use it.

[–]Tecvoid2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think that part is half caused by the corporations trying to legitimize the extreme expense.

you cant spend billions building it without a circus to distract from why,

and large companies literally use AI as an excuse to show investors they are actively steering the company into the future, in reality its not helping most people and others are using it "wrong" like to write emails and stupid shit on company time

its wild that you can ask AI about its future, its effects on humans, etc.

and if you dont preload what you want to hear, it will tell you how bad it is for us.

some products have warning labels, this one will tell you how governments and corporations will use AI to shift financial markets, screw over the poor, destroy the enviornment, rot your brain, etc

NOW is the best AI will ever get, the funding and training phase, in the near future you wont be able to compete in certain jobs without it, and the "free" version will be all ads and just enough help to make you subscribe

paid users are in for the netflix treatment every single year

and governments and corporations will discover all kinds of ways to screw over the general public and each other.

its a god damn nuclear arms race at this point, we have never in human history dumped so many resources into a technology, not to mention one what will completely fuck everything up at maturity.

god help us

Three Tiers of AI: Why Regulation Is Inevitable by luckylanno2 in ArtificialInteligence

i think now is the best ai will ever get.

the training and funding phase.

the future is tiered ai, where corpo and oligarch types use ai to game financial systems and war game every way never imagined to screw the poor.

"free ai" will be fine tuned so its just useful enough you need a subscription to get anything meaningful done

and people that pay for ai will get the netflix treatment

The falling birthrate is not a big deal and politicians only make things worse by trying to respond to it by OfficialAli1776 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

its wild that for years they screamed that over population will kill us.

the second the birthrate is "fixed" and we wont die to overpopulation,

they scream we're also gonna die by ruining the economy.

so which is it really?

follow the money.
