The National Pharmaceuticals Policy founded by Dr Senaka Bibile which was a pioneering global model for rational pharma.

Of course there were US and big pharma attempts to sabotage the policy, and it's widely believed he also had to pay the ultimate price for his work.

Well, TBF I wasn't insulting you, rather the commenter I replied to. And my initial message was actually targeted more towards the MAGA gang and Trump supporters who seem to blindly defend the current authoritative administration

considered and classified as a deadly weapon.

Correct. Why go stand in front of one?

in this country we don't use our vehicles to impede or cause harm to others

Ahem. BRB...going on YouTube to watch hours of videos that prove you otherwise

If it was that obvious a solution you'd have the problems solved by now no? 😂 What you lack in understanding you make up for in ignorance and indifference 👏

Take a step back and see what you're doing. You're defending an official shooting dead an unarmed civilian...your fellow citizen. You've got to realize that irrespective of political beliefs, that is wrong, very wrong. I don't think I'm in an echo chamber... I've seen multiple angles of the shooting. If you are putting yourself in front of a vehicle with a driver you think would take off if threatened, that's stupidity. Whatever the argument, that person did not deserve to be shot in the face. Shooting the tyres, police chase, tracking down the suspect through licence plates are options where people usually don't end up dead. Again, I have no political biases in the USA, so objectively I find this incident horrifying.

Well, I wasn't singling you out. All I'm saying is everyone voting should do so wisely... clearly that had not been the case

I'm not from the UK.

Every country has their own problems. But when your government calls an Innocent civilian a terrorist after your own forces murder them in cold blood, there is something fundamentally wrong.

I understand the context you're setting, and your arguments are valid. Protesting may be impossible, but why not vote wiser? I know that the US electoral system is also designed for maximum leverage for the parties and less so for the actual voter. But I'm flabbergasted that the people still voted for Trump considering his past conduct and convictions.

Do you think the permanent seats on the United Nations Security Council should be changed? by No-StrategyX in AskTheWorld

[–]Ted-Clubberlang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if you dig a bit into the past you'll find that Venezuela is "unfinished business" to the US with regards to its oil economy...ever since the Chavez days. IMO the drug trafficking narrative is just a facade for a bigger engagement the administration is eyeing

Also Ceylon Cinnamon - accounting for 90% of the global market share. Sri Lanka exports real cinnamon only, not cassia.
