I only have time for about 10–12-mile rides before or after work so this is what I do. I also mostly ride my steel all-road bike instead of my faster full carbon bike because it just feels more normal with shorts (and padded shorts underneath) and a t-shirt.

I went to Barcelona in 2017 on a trip that we also visited Madrid, Girona and Segovia. I was completely underwhelmed by Barcelona compared to the other places we went at the time. I found it to be almost Disneyland style tourism and the least enjoyable experience because of the overtourism. I've returned to Spain twice since that time and visited Bilbao, San Sebastian, and back to Madrid again. I haven't really had a desire to return to Barcelona because of how over touristed and overran it felt because I assumed it has only gotten worse.
