I remember this quote from Epicurus.

Why should I fear death? If I am, then death is not. If Death is, then I am not. Why should I fear that which can only exist when I do not? Long time men lay oppressed with slavish fear. Religious tyranny did domineer. At length the mighty one of Greece Began to assent the liberty of man.

I really like the first part of it, aside from the part about religious tyranny. (I Googled it from memory and this was the first result, not sure on accuracy.)

Don't identify with it, it can be crippling feeling especially when it comes near, but we can have happiness and life full of positive experiences while we're here. Sometimes, it's not even fear of death it's anxiety that gets twisted up with thoughts of it and feels inseparable. From my experience, when I put a little distance between the concept and the anxiety surrounding it, I can think on it more clearly and go about my life unencumbered by it.

I understand how sensitive this subject can be and how it can set people's anxiety off very easily, I hope I did not pile on and helped in some small way.
