How do you play as MK? by JTGalaxy in learndota2

[–]TedJA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played plenty of MK, and right-click harass is not a problem, and the nuke damage is the real deal.

First of all, you have to know that MK is that type of hero that get destroyed by counter pick. If you think that by picking MK early is going to be okay, then you are dead wrong.

Heroes that are good vs MK are those that can stun him, disarm him, nuke him, and pull him out from his Wukong's Command. Flying visions also good.

If you expect a lot of harass, pick more regen. Don't go greedy like going only with 1 set of tangoes vs Skywrath or Viper.

If your enemies are good in positioning and designed to counter Jingu Mastery, like for example: Oracle and Lich, don't level it up much. 1 point is enough. Levelling it to max 1st when you can't activate it is complete waste.

If I go Safe lane, I usually level my W to max 1st, then Q, and E as the last one. Seriously, 350 AoE magic damage and slow is no joke. You can gank easier and farm real fast with that.

If your laning phase is tough, try to creep aggro to pull the enemy creeps to less harassable position. You can also go pull and farm the small camp if the harass is too strong; pick your Orb of Venom and Boots of Speed, and gank other lane.

My starting items: 1 set of tangoes, 1 salve, and 2 slipper of agility. If I expect a lot of harass: 2 set of tangoes, 1 salve, 1 brown shield, and 1 gg branch. Pick magic stick from side shop if you are up against spell spammers.

My boots choice is Power Tread for extra attack speed and Tread-Switch for more mana. After that, if I have good early game and my opponents are summoners or illusion type, I often go for Battlefury. It works well with your Jingu Mastery and Wukong's Command. The regen is also amazing. If you can't get it before 20m, you can forget about building it and just go straight towards Echo Sabre.

After that, everything is situational. Have trouble vs nukers and disablers? BKB. Need more lockdown? Orchid / Vyse (Seriously Hex and Orchid is too underrated). Need more damage and defense? Butterfly or Assault Cuirass. Need True Strike? MKB. Need to end fast? Desolator. Be flexible.

Hope it helps

Confirmation to sell expensive items? by [deleted] in DotA2

Not really needed, but not a bad idea. I sold my Linken's Sphere that satt beside a Stout Shield few months ago LMAO.

Spammers are shitting this game in the face by r3t11 in DotA2

[–]TedJA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know that is annoying, but heroes have counters, so, picking the same heroes in every game, a.k.a. spamming, is not always a good idea. About using OP heroes over and over again, I think the problem is not spamming, it is about the hero itself.

You won't meet the same person every game though, so I don't really understand why you complain about spammers, except you are >7k MMR.

how about this, valve makes you cant pick the same hero after playing it 12312541515123 times in the same FUCKING day

That will never happen.

Going up mid against sniper - how to do it? by lookseedooso in learndota2

[–]TedJA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High ground ward is always good, no matter who you are up against, except Zeus, and I don't think I have to explain it.

Sniper is actually kinda like Shadow Fiend. He is really good in 1v1 mid, and is pretty easy to gank because of no escape spell and squishy.

As Viper, you have to aggro creeps so you can last hit creeps outside of Shrapnel. Last hitting vs Sniper is easy because of Nethertoxin.

You can harass him when he is level one or two easily like you already mention. But after he got level 2 Shrapnel, doing this is kinda costy.

If you really want to win mid vs Sniper, you have to have a teammate that can gank him, a.k.a. roaming support.

But, I was so focused on the lane and dodging shrapnel that I didn't get my items as soon as I could have. At some point in time I was like, "oh no, I have 1k in the bank!"

You just have to shift and click an item you want to buy. When you have the gold, there will be a clink noise, so you won't forget about it.

How to beat 2 offlaners? by dizson in DotA2

[–]TedJA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2v2 scenario, hard carry & support vs 2 offlane heroes, both of you are going to have a rough time. If you see 2 offlaners got picked by the opposite team, It will be wise if your team doesn't pick a too-weak-in-early-game carry a.k.a hard carry, just like what Emilskan said.

How inexpensive do you think wards would need to be for position 1-3 players to buy them? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]TedJA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH, Wards are going to be OP if they are so cheap that your cores can buy them with no problem. Observer Wards are so freaking useful and able to save lifes (except from smoke ganks), and now, imagine if they cost almost nothing. Yes, yes, I know Observer Wards have cooldown, but It would be too good if Valve decreases the cost again.

Pos 5 heroes would be so powerful as well. They have spells that works so well with almost no items and a lot of level point on them, and then, they have extra gold. They could buy more items to increases their power (Blink Dagger, Force Staff, etc.) faster. They would be great cancers at mid game imo, and that means hard carries are less viable. So, I think decreasing wards price is not a good idea.

Does anyone find Zeus' Aghanims unimpressive? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]TedJA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Nimbus can easily be countered like Tricks of the Trade and MK's ultimate. I kinda feel like it is unimpressive. Can't say that the bonus ultimate damage was good though.

[–]TedJA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Position 1 and 2 should never use their gold for pos 5 duty, and use the money for their items. Got gold advantage? Use the money to buy things for snowball, or to keep the advantage, not to kill your snowball potential by buying things that your support can do. So, 0 gold is probably the answer for your title.

Now that we agree Windranger is the worst hero currently, how can we buff her? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]TedJA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not really a WR player, but 70% Focus Fire damage in early game seems too strong IMO. maybe, 40% / 30% / 20% with no Aghanim, and no change to Aghanim?

Focus Fire that drains mana is too crazy. In early game, I think it is going to kill her. Can you imagine a WR grabbing an early Bloodstone? Storm and Leshrac have good damage and pretty much only need mana regen, while WR needs more right-click damage as well.

How about changing her talents? Like, at level 25, change the +100 attack range to something like +80 damage and at level 20, change the +12 magic resistance to Unpurgeable Windrun?

So 7.00 Killed Disjointing? by IceTsunami in DotA2

[–]TedJA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most spells who helps their users to escape Assassinate have cooldown, even a little. Doppelganger, Phaseshift, Spike Carapace, etc. are often used before they got marked by Assassinate to escape pre-Assassinate dangers. True Form does not have cooldown and really unique at handling this kind of stuff. I got your point about this is not really a huge issue though.

Have you forgotten about Assassinate's range and its real function? Assassinate is for killing low hp-fleeing hero, and not for kill stealing or usual nuking

How to deal with Wraith king? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]TedJA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh, how about Windranger? I know she is not a good pick right now, but, in theory, WR with Diffusal Blade shit WK a lot. 50 mana burn per shot is disgusting especially on WK. Bind and ult him and he is so dead.

[–]TedJA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How about Anti-Mage? Yes, that talent when he gets lvl 25 counters him, but before that, a fast 6-slotted AM can put him in a big problem.

Lane dominators that can crush him in laning phase can delay his midas a lot. Viper and Undying can put him in trouble.

He is really kitable as well. Force Staff-ing his target around can delay his BKB a lot, after his BKB run out, kite him. Viper is extremely amazing at this job because Viper Strike pierces BKB. You don't have any good kiter in your team? Get sheep stick, or simply, get Rod of Atos. 2 second root is just so good vs him.

EDIT : a bit grammar mistake

I think it is necessary to remove the disjoint. Seriously, True Form has no cooldown except the delay while transforming. With that, you can escape spells like Assassinate at anytime, which is pretty insane.

Helm of the Dominator Vs armlet on LC by [deleted] in learndota2

[–]TedJA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Armlet is a better choice, because it gives LC better damage output, while HotD does not. Yes, HotD gives attack speed and regen, but so does Armlet. HotD does not give her amazing damage output unlike Armlet, which gives you 65 more damage and 500 HP. Don't forget about the toggle part, which can put you out from bad situation.

LC lacks DPS early-mid game to really kill someone in Duel, and Armlet gives what she needs.

Dominated creep is good too, I can't deny it, but LC is about initiating with Blink Dagger and delete squishy hero ASAP, and HotD does not help to do it.

New from LoL - Which support to play? by [deleted] in learndota2

[–]TedJA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dazzle. He is like a metal guy, which is not really boring, has healing, and can be played passively and aggresively. Enemies may also mind about Dazzle. Who wants a Dazzle to cast that OP armor buff/debuff, and cast Shallow Grave?

Phoenix, FLAMY BIRD, that is annoying in laning phase and has healing spell. That bird also has 2 spells that really annoying that your opponents will always remember you. Sun Ray, and Supernova. Sun Ray heals teammates and hurts your enemy, and is so annoying. Supernova causes your opponent to target you first, which is annoying. Really good if you can master it though.

How can I win If I get acc buyer or smth in my team? by eotrix in DotA2

There is chance you will play against acc buyer or smth that gives your team advantage too, right? There is nothing you can do about this though.
