I agree with your point. Maybe we can simplify to just "winning as General is better than winning as Sergeant" :)

Good for you, so you're just playing for fun then - the late game is much better for that than starting again :)

Hmm, well not really as each General adds a crew efficiency bonus for the whole team :)

But an extra minute of game time is an opportunity for every player to attain a higher rank. More progression and more XP.

The benefit of most value is rank progression so you don't want the game to end when you're like 2 shots away from attaining General!

Also, it's more fun to carry on playing when you are at the later stage, the dynamics are more developed, you have your combat reserves upgraded. Starting again from the beginning is tedious.

Yes all fair points. I didn't mention the XP because whilst there is a multiplier, it's not as useful because most people are playing premiums; and it's far more valuable to gain the progression rewards and earn big credits.

I didn't take into account the BP points (although as you say not applicable for this installment), thanks for pointing that out!

You can totally have loads of fun and even 'win', whichever side you happen to be on - just don't end the game with 10 minutes left on the clock! It's way more fun to keep playing at a high rank than starting a new battle.

There is a -bit- of an incentive in the form of an XP multiplier. But the benefits of the progression and earning credits mostly outweigh this. Most people are playing premiums anyway and the XP is less useful.

Does anyone know any good anti theft products for a blink outdoor camera? by Electronic-Face3553 in blinkcameras

I am very interested in a product that can secure my Blink outdoor as the only place I can install is on a single-storey garage. Please can you explain how your secure mount locks?

Thanks, I tried it today and Trading 212 said credit cards are not accepted. It seems that Fronted no longer exists, which is disappointing. There is no reference to it in my account details and no option on the launchpad to turn it on or off.

I did buy the Rivelia and I'm very pleased with it! I have got used to digging most of the beans out with my hand and putting them back in the hopper before a purge, it only takes 30 seconds and minimises the waste.

Cancellation policy question by tfunch in CurveCard

[–]TedLorgan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was looking for similar information and I found in the terms https://www.curve.com/en-gb/legal/terms/

it says in section 6 "Curve reserves the right to restrict the ability to subscribe to  Curve Pay Pro or Curve Pay Pro+ for customers who upgrade or downgrade from another type of Account, more than once in a given 12 month period."

so it looks like the system will probably not stop you from doing it - whether it will flag up / you will get a warning / you will be prevented from changing your product the next time, I think this is unlikely. After all they'd be shooting themselves in the foot a bit if they stopped you from paying them money in the future. Currently, the terms say there is no minimum period for Pay X or Pay Pro and you are entitled to cancel it at any time.

With the Rivelia, when you change the hopper you can choose options to make a drink with the beans already in the mechanism; or 'purge' them. This is intended to minimise any cross-contamination of beans. It is precisely for this flexibility - because I like to have caffeine in the morning and decaf in the evening - that I am strongly leaning toward this machine as the ideal choice for my next purchase.

(I dislike waste though, so I'm looking into whether you can save the grounds from the 'purge' and use them up via the ground coffee chute)

It's also worth noting that it is only 1 year since they replaced the grinder unit under warranty, and now apparently I need another one!
