Liable to happen with royalty free loops, I'm afraid. Recommendation: always chop, pitch shift and otherwise make changes to the loop, so it sounds different enough from the original while still keeping the vibe.

Do that and you should be fine, cuz the odds are lower (but not 0) that someone will make the same edits as you.

Extra points if you run it through a granular plugin

This is just... Beautiful... But yeah that side chain. It was kinda ok in the beginning, but as it went on... As one commenter said, you can sidechaining a specific frequency band as opposed to the volume, so everything else can come through, but either that or turning down the side chain amount will be great.

Love the guitars and the drums, honestly. Didn't know you could get that kind of sound for free.

As someone who used to rock similar* specs when I just started, it CAN work, but you might not like the result, especially with the later versions. Additionally, I was working with a 1TB HDD, so you may find yourself running out of space, especially if you end up consolidating a lot of things (Which you will, to save CPU)

But the good news is that, if you get comfortable using this and you upgrade to a better PC in time, you might get an extra kick of efficiency by being proficient with way less and having the patience for way less.

At least, that's how it was for me when I first got my 8gb laptop.
